Darwin, the Idol of Richard Dawkins and His Followers

February 1, 2019 | Jerry Bergman

Richard Dawkins’ God is Charles Darwin

by Jerry Bergman, PhD

Besides owning almost every book Richard Dawkins has authored, including his newest 15th book (2017), I have watched him in many video interviews. I consider the most honest interview he gave to be the one with Ben Stein in the movie Expelled.[1] Dawkins is very frank about his beliefs and is not afraid to buck against society’s norms. His upcoming book, Outgrowing God: A Beginner’s Guide to Atheism (2019), is aimed at children.

Darwin has been treated as fairly as the left has treated Martin Luther King. So much is attributed to what he didn’t say. Marx and Engles, loved Hegel and Darwin only so long as they didn’t read the rest of their books.

In as much as God made the heavens and the earth, seven days of God’s work might not be measured in human days, just saying.

Getting off the soap box.

Obviously facts don’t matter to you or you would know that human-ape matings cannot produce offspring.

The best argument against evolution is the decline of all genomes, it’s devolution! The complexity and uniqueness for all genomes indicates an author of supreme ability and intelligence. Try randomly changing some computer code.

Consider that a perfectly designed new genome has no defects therefore sex between those closely related did not immediately lead to birth defects and other problems.

However, over thousands of years time we now use blood tests for those intending to marry to ensure these defects are not multiplied into more birth defects and quickening of devolution.

I was interested to study Anton Levay and his followers and discover that they are just extreme evolutionists.

Yes. Precisely. If by organized religion you are referring to Christianity. It is correctly practiced as a search for Truth. Once having found Truth, it is the celebration of the Truth of God as Creator and Savior.

Vitz concluded that academic atheists are likely to have had a very destructive relationship with their father or were molested as children.

I would go further and call them anti-theists, not just atheists. An atheist merely does not believe in God, while an anti-theist actively proselytizes and evangelizes against God. Dawkins is the latter.

Scratch an anti-theist and you'll find a bad family upbringing with no father or an abusive father. (Stalin was originally a seminary student.)

Actually, if you look back at my statement you would see that I said " if my crowd had just evolved slightly above the local apes and monkeys." Get that? Slightly evolved above monkeys/apes.

Does that sound like humans to you?

Are you willing to state that one primate slightly more evolved would be unable to mate with one slightly below it and from whom it evolved.

Looks like more than just your vestigial tail is showing.

You are embarrassing your elementary school teacher with your lack of reading comprehension.

Buck up, Dude. You can do it.

If the search for truth begins and ends by looking in the Bible, I agree. I can’t think of any ‘new’ extra-Biblical truths but I could be mistaken.

A non believer may read the Bible cover to cover and learn nothing. Once its message is made personal and central to one’s understanding of life the Bible becomes a source of continuous inspiration and understanding.
