It’s a shame if his political views look “more like Ivanka”. I’m not at all impressed in a positive way that she has any comprehension of the Deplorable Agenda. Her priorities are more the cutesy ones of the liberal elite. Contrast that to Melania who “gets it”, and spends her time advocating for those with true needs beyond their control.
Probably he is being advised that that Barr can be confirmed, and he will be 1,000 times better than Rosenstein. Whether he can or will force Federal law enforcement agencies to start working for the President again is an open question.
Rand Paul is absolutely right, but with the profusion of these characters on the scene it is almost impossible to get a genuine reformist outsider through the confirmation process without GOPe sabotage.
He’s definitely an improvement over his dad, and I will say he’s a class guy, because he is. But his libertarian streak will only get him so far in American politics.
When I think back, Ivanka was hardly ever on the campaign trail. She only inserted herself full-time after the WH was won. Back on the campaign trail, President Trump was surrounded by more conservative, Deplorable people. He went home to Melania and she often went on the campaign trail, when it didn’t interfere with being a wonderful mother. He was grounded in our values then, with respect building with the more conservative opponents, Mike Flynn, AG Sessions. There was a lot of contact with true conservative House members on the campaign trail. Now, it seems that most of our people are gone, and there are a lot of folks in this administration who have nothing but disdain for President Trump’s and our MAGA agenda.
