His conscious will bother him for the rest of his life.

No, it won't. I do wonder which Hispanic gang he was affiliated with. Anyone have pictures of his tattoos?

The nydaily news wrote that the dead mom was pregnant. The father went into the store to use the atm while family waited outside.

If its true, the moms name is Melissa Castillo deloatch. A cousin started a gofundme for burial. 3 kids remain in hospital. So she was a Hispanic as was the guy who killed her.

>Enjoy your fantasy.

God will allow no error into Heaven; none at all because any error would corrupt absolutely over the timescape of eternity. All humans are created with eternal souls and thus God must deal with those who die in there errors without the Savior. The consequences are too ghastly to contemplate.

If I make it out that I have no errors, I would be trying to make God a liar and indicating that I have no Savior who has paid the ultimate price for all my errors.

It is no fantasy that this man is facing an Eternity burning in the lake of fire. And yet if we have the smallest error left on us, we face the same consequence as he.

So I entreat your prayers for this man. That God would take the slightest smidgen of conscious and inflame it unto repentance. For surely without the Grace of God go you and I.

Regards,

CO

I find your use of the words “some asshole” in THIS story interesting to say the least. Are you some kind of uncompromising tough guy who thinks getting the family mowed down is worth being dismissive of assholes?

Blowing cigarette smoke around a family of young children is being an asshole.
Mowing them down with a car is being a murderer.

And, I don’t disagree with you - I would have probably just taken my family and walked away.

Saturday Night Live, back when it was sort of funny sometimes in the 80s, had a skit during the high crime Mayor Dinkins era where callers to a talk radio show with some politician all called about crime. Initially it was low level stuff like getting mugged and it escalated to guys breaking into your home, pouring gasoline on you and lighting it. In each case the politician would say something like "I see. Did you make eye contact prior to the event?" and when the caller said yes the pol would throw up his hands and say "well there you go! you brought it on yourself!"

Your posts remind me of that.

Obviously a rabid Trump supporter. Did he have bleach and a noose on him?

People are crazy. Engage them at your own peril.

True. Years ago, I was involved in a road rage incident. I was on the highway in the middle lane doing about 70mph (speed limit was 65) minding my own business when some jerk gets on my tail flashing his high beams because he apparently wants to go 80.

I decided that I wasn't going to give in so I just put on cruise control and continued sailing along at 70, forcing the guy to get in the passing lane and go around me if he really wanted to go faster. Instead of doing that however, he continue to be on my tail and flash his high beams.

Up ahead was my exit so I got into the right lane to turn off, relieved that I would finally get the jerk off my tail. However, he took the same exit and as we got to a red light at a traffic signal, he pulled up next to me, rolled his window down and started screaming like a maniac and basically telling me that if I wanted to drive like an old grandmother that I should stay out of the fast lanes (with a lot of profane adjectives in between).

I just laughed at him (wrong move), wrote him off as a jerk and continued on my way. But this guy fell behind me and started obviously following me. As I looked in the rear view, he was grimacing, giving me the finger and leaning on his horn periodically.

As I was headed home, I did not want this maniac to see where I lived so I ended up having to take a detour around my neighborhood, hoping to shake this guy off. But he continued following me. I debated calling the cops but realized that the town police station was only a mile up the road so I pulled into the police station. That did the trick. The guy just kept going and that was last I saw of him. But I often think about what would have occurred had I gone home and showed this guy where I lived.

Since that incident, I learned to not antagonize people on the road. If somebody is tailgating me, I just pull over and let them go on by. You never know what might happen if you engage them.

Getting back to the incident described in this post, the person who plowed into that family is obviously not fit to live in our society and should be locked away for life. But should be a cautionary tale that you just don't mess with people and you are best off minding your own business.

We should always be prepared to kill anyone we meet.

That way we can be polite and gracious, but if they are buttwipes (like that guy was) we don’t need to be too concerned about it.

“Sorry, but I’m sick of nannies. He could have just walked away from the guy, as far as I can tell.
You sound like you’re excusing this monster for attempting to murder an entire family over being requested to not blow smoke on kids. Are you for real?”

Not excusing the monster. When you confront a stranger, you have no ideas what they are going to do. To complain about some cigarette smoke to a stranger is not smart. If you confront someone, it had better be for a very important reason. Yes he is a nanny.

the person who owns the emotions is the one responsible for them.

No one sets anyone off, they choose to misbehave.

“So your suggestion is to go through life in silence and fear because some asshole might turn out to be a lunatic and attack you if you say anything to anyone about anything that they don’t like.

No wonder PC has taken over our society.”

It is PC to attack, insult and confront a smoker. The nanny dad was not in fear. Of course this does not excuse what the driver did.

Whether you are predator or prey, it is never a good idea to attract attention. It is also never a good idea to allow disorder. Turn the other cheek, then get even later, anonymously.

Wasn’t clear to me what or why the father was “in the car” with this guy. How did he blow smoke in the kids faces if they were outside. I wondered, had they been in the car before? Were they “going to get in” the car and this was a warning not to smoke with them in the car? I was confused. Maybe it was just me?

So, I looked into it.

“...The road rage erupted after the victim’s husband asked Jason Mendez, 35, to stop smoking outside the Garnerville store...”

OUTSIDE THE STORE! Important to the story, I would say.

“...furious smoker got into his car and mowed down his helpless victims, then backed the vehicle over them,...”

Timeline: asked the smoker not to blow smoke, THEN smoker gets in car. Important to the story, I would say.

“The 32-year-old pregnant mom died at the hospital...”
“Authorities said her 35-year-old husband and 2-year-old toddler were both taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Five other children in the tragedy, ranging from less than a year-old to 10, were taken to Montefiore Nyack hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, reports say.”

Important to the story, I would say.

ALWAYS go to the LOCAL news to get the whole or more correct story.

“...although I do understand the anger directed at the killer for what he did.”

Well gosh, as long as you understand that killing is somewhat worse than admonishing a smoker.

PFamily of 8 in Rockland county, ny
The family likely Hasidic Jews and dressed accordingly. That they had a baby carriage probably walking. Yes I am stereotyping but could be more to this guy’s rage.
