The college admissions scandal that has swept up celebrities and CEOs largely leaves out the children who benefited from their parents' bribes - except for one.

Documents reveal that Isabelle Henriquez gloated about cheating on the SATs after her parents paid more than $1 million dollars to get her into Georgetown University.

Isabelle is the daughter of Manuel Henriquez, chairman and CEO of Hercules Technology Growth Capital, and Elizabeth Henriquez.

The couple were among the 50 people, including Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, who have been accused of paying bribes to get their children into America's top colleges.

Has any of these cheaters been expelled? Shows how once one gets into college even an elite institution one needs to work to actually flunk out.

I wonder how many of these students who got in on bribes may have also hired others to do their homework for them......

No college has stepped forward and said the student will suffer any repercussions. Only parents and college staff who facilitated the cheating. So, it will just cost them (parents) a little more money and the (faint) possibility of jail time.

I’ll bet these people have defended affirmative action multiple times. But then they paid big money to circumvent affirmative action because their brats are White.

One rule for the public, another rule for the elite.

Affirmative action is illegal, wrong and unconstitutional. Laws that pretend to permit it are invalid and not binding.

We do know part of the fraud was parents paying large fees for a ringer to take the SAT or ACT.

Manuel Henriquez, chairman and CEO of Hercules Technology Growth Capital,...

That’s the great thing about America.

Any group or ethnicity can make it big and do something as idiotic as any person with 6 generations of descendants.

:)

If I am not mistaken, the only difference here to what has gone on for time immemorial is that money was being paid to someone other than the schools themselves.

That would go a long way to explain why so many ‘Ivy League’ graduates are as stupid as a herd of cattle..........Like why AOC has a degree in ECONOMICS from Boston University, but doesn’t know a damn thing about ECONOMICS!.......................

I see that none of these colleges seem particularly interested in restoring their honor by expelling the dishonorable, assuming that any of them had any honor to start with.

When one probes one level deeper, one has to ask: “If they had to cheat to get in, but still get top level grades, what does say about the ‘standards” of the institution?”

And, being Georgetown, one would think that being gay/lesbian is sufficient for entry.

These college Admin’s ought to expel every one of these identified cheat students, or face criminal charges as well!!!
These scumbags could have taken a seat one of my kids could have had. My kids, who crushed HS & who REALLY did score well on ACT/SAT exams-— ALL ON THEIR OWN !!

Yes, you are correct. Somehow....a middle-man worked himself into their admissions empire, and found the critical person at each university to offer a bribe. No one is suggesting the amount, but I would take a guess it’s more than $10,000 in cash.

What I’m curious about....how this unraveled? It’d been going on since 2011. I suspect this middle-man had seen this at work prior to that and just copied the effort.

Ethically, every single case that you can prove they entered in a fraudulent manner...I think the degree should be revoked, and the kid given his money back. If they fail to do it...then the degrees and their recipients are just fakes in life.

This makes me sick. Why don’t people realize that when they cheat they are not actually winning?

Someone ought to start digging how AOC got her rear end into BU? Cause I’m not seeing it!
Waiting to see if my daughter was accepted there. She literally crushes everything academic, plays violin county/district level, and has 2 pt jobs. Just a great kid. Other offers came in already, but from BU nothing yet!???
Maybe if I had enough $$ to build an additional wing on their library???
Maybe things are held up because they looked at my political affiliation??

Has any of these cheaters been expelled?

****************

Of course not. And nobody will really be punished for participating in this scandal. They have the money to buy the best legal protection. This whole scandal will blow over without any lasting repercussions.

What a country!

Henriquez is a big Dem Party donor.
I guess he’s already sued to donating to criminal enterprises!
