It’ll be a one party country.
The GOP is the party of the well connected corporate globalist class and as such generally despises wage earners. It can never be a populist party unless it embrace nationalism and dumps globalism.
It seems to me that some Republicans were working on just such a plan. That was a few years ago, but I haven’t heard anything more. We definitely need the same kind of system in the states. Particularly those of us out west with vastly different populations within the state.
Great reference material thank you!
If you eliminate the electoral college, secessionist movements will sprout up across the whole country. The Democrat party is the party of destruction. They want you to be filthy dirt poor and miserable.
Very good!
I don’t think they expect the backlash. They are like spoiled children and they just want their own way all the time. The 30 year old snowflakes are no more mature than the 16 year olds so I understand why they can’t see the difference.
The Democrats would be happy to turn us into a Peoples Republic.
Without a secure border we’re no longer a country.
And we have no border. It’s only a matter of time now before the rats take over permanently.
Republic wouldn’t even fit at all but the Democratic Oligarchy would be a perfect fit.
Without the electorial college, this country would never be a free country... it would be run by the “party” who wants to change it so they can be the only party/dictatorship to ever be in control of this once United States.. unless we have a rebellion.... another civil war.
I see the clouds gathering from the left... if we stop it for another 4 years... or for even another 8 years.... you’all know they aren’t going away! the colleges did a number while we let them.... and it’s “free for all” with the lesser paying the way!
We already do not have a Senate. The Senate should have two representatives, appointed by each state respectively. Instead senators are just elected by popular vote in these states. The Senate is supposed to represent the sovereign state; the House represents the sovereign citizens.
Further, DC does not operate as a constitutional republic. For 80 years it has _judged_ and _legislated_ any power and law that it wanted. Judges legislating law from thin-air; Congress voting powers and laws completely outside of its clear and very limited USConstitutional authority. Not even a pretense of amending the constitution to perform such breaches of contract with We-The-People.
Over the last 80 years, We-The-People have become mere wards of DC, truly we-the-sheeple. Surely we have lost our way and destroyed the genius of what our fathers fought for.
I’m sure that interesting maps are only a Google search away. Election result county maps show how divided this country has become with the Democrats concentrated on thin strips of our coastline and urban islands scattered across our land. Everything else is called America. The brilliance of the Founders to create an Electoral College is apparent. Without it, we would already be living under the thumb of Liberal tyranny. Look to Europe to see what happens when that occurs.
The Democrat cunning schemes are stymied by the forethought of the Founders who crafted a political structure and system of checks and balances to produce an enduring bastion of liberty. The Democrats hate it and are doing everything that they can do to dismantle it so that they have permanent power.
I fixed it. Happy?
bump
Looking at census numbers it appears to me the population of LA County exceeds the individual populations of 41 of the (57?) states, so red-dawg wasn’t but a bit off, and his point well made...
Oops, North Carolina 10.3 million
Free Republic arguments are characterized by the use of facts to bolsters the points. The Left are incapable of doing this, so we have the advantage when we do this. Stick to the facts.
