Charles Payne totally debunked AOC’S argument directed at Sean Duffy yesterday about the high incidence of asthma among poor children in the Bronx.
Payne has followed this issue carefully for years.
He cited 3 primary factors for the asthma: 38% of the parents there are smokers, the poor are unable to afford new carpets, window treatments, etc, which retain very high levels of dust particles, and there is a higher presence of rodent fecal matter which also is associated with asthma. He said CO2 levels have nothing to do with high childhood asthma levels in the Bronx.
