The Dallas/ Fort Worth area is the fastest growing metropolitan area in the country, according to new estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau.
DFW added 131,767 residents from 2017 to 2018.
Phoenix was second with more than 96,000 new residents.
.....The census data showed the majority of the growth in the region is going to the suburbs.

Refugees from other states will turn Texas blue. The South will eventually fall from refugees fleeing their more expensive states and heading south.

The Republican party in each city and working hard to keep and engage voters.
Dallas county is Solid Blue, will never go back red. I've lived here 21 years, and it just gets bluer each election.

Its a great place to live, if you dont mind the absence of mountains and beaches.Absence of beaches? What about Galveston, Corpus Christi, Padre Island? There's another "beach" about an hour's drive from El Paso...White Sands NM. Great beach, just no water...lol.

If you fled your failed state for economic opportunities in Texas, do not vote your failed state ways.

6 years ago I visited a friend in a super large apartment complex in Fort Worth. He might have been the only white Euro in the place. It’s not even Texas anymore. Like London is to England. Six policeman shot dead on Dallas streets ? Not even America anymore.

The subject was DFW. Not the entire state.

We are in the process of moving to a new house, we noticed when we visited the potential neighborhoods, almost every other couple we saw was either Chinese or from India.

Old Texas Joke:
Q. What is the worst thing to ever happen in the history of the State of Texas?
A. The invention of air conditioning, because that made it possible for Yankees to live here.

Illegals and liberal escapees from California. What could go wrong?

While this is good for business and the economy I am afraid it is going to be at the expense of changing the voting demographics for the worse. Yup. Like locusts, they destroy where they live, then move on to the next target.

Thanks.
Not surprising.
Glad I don’t live in the Metro Mess. Or worse yet in the Houston Mess.

The article wzs nit just about Dallas. It was the Metroplex. It said the growth was in the suburbs.
That is what I was referencing when i mentioned each city(plano allen mid cities etc) and county(Collin Tarrant etc).

Given that so many of the new immigrants are from California, Im a bit surprised that Austin isnt outpacing DFW.
Austin just doesn't have the expansionability that DFW does. We're about SIX times bigger than Austin, and alot of that space has planty of room for construction. Austin has Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Georgetown, and that's about it. There's just not the huge extended area, you have Austin +5. DFW is +50. Dallas to the border is about 80 miles. Over half of that is built up and suburban land. Sure, Austin is the California of Texas, but it's just not big enough for all the Yankees to come move to.
