The founders were great but they really made a big mistake by allowing congress to go after the president all they want. The president is hands off congress. How is that fair? It seems like the president really is at a very big disadvantage. They keep saying co-equal branches. But when the president has little power over congress, it seems like congress is in a stronger position. Im hating this. Nobody brings this up either which is annoying.
Apparently as long as you are a Commie lib, you can do WHATEVER you want..Twitter yet again banned David Horowitz, and they just banned @CarpeDonktum because the whacky commie douche bag the Krassenstein brothers told them to..welcome to the Soviet Union
There are dozens of Democrats who can be arrested right this very minute on various national security crimes.
It’s time to get those prosecutions under way.
There’s probably not five Democrats in Congress who don’t have a felony or twelve they’ve managed to skate on.
Ban & Outlaw the Democrat Party . Remove all Federally elected Democrat politicians from their office , immediately . Stand up an Federally deputized civilian volunteer militia (CVM) to assist in enforce the ban.
The congress harasses the president, lies to the voters, ignores the security of our borders, recklessly spends money to buy votes, and passes laws without reading them.
Other than that its a great institution. /sarc
That was a very profound comment actually. The constitution only works so long as reasonable and rational people accept the need for it.
Why not?
They ignored the Constitution and let a Kenyan/British subject/Indonesian? be sworn in as President in direct violation of it.
‘The president is hands off congress.’
Perhaps not. As others have pointed out, AG Barr is now in the middle of an investigation which involves many, many, Democrats.
So if Nadler or others go after Barr a bit too much, we may be looking at OBSTRUCTION charges against them - since they’re now obviously trying to impede him, and this time there is not shortage of underlying crimes.
Things may get interesting.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”
John Adams
October 11, 1798, in a letter to the Massachusetts militia
So Congress can harass the president?
Can Congress harass the president?
Were at war, be serious, sound proud.
Congress has one major weakness: it cannot enforce the law. It can make laws but if the executive branch doesn’t enforce them they are meaningless. Neither can the judicial branch enforce the law. If the president does “go rogue”, the only thing that can truly oust him is a rebellion within the executive branch.
The Constitution prohibits “Bills of Attainder”, which the British crown had used to harass specified citizens who had opposed crown policies.
Do President Trump’s lawyers know this?
They SHOULD!
Thank you. The Founding Fathers must be rolling in their graves, especially the ones whose legacies are being trashed and their statues are being removed by radical elements in our cities and college campuses.
I believe a few of the Founding Fathers forewarned us about the perils to our democracy and the dangers to its longevity. We are seeing them right now.
The fact that such issues are even being considered is a stark commentary on where we are right now in this country. We are already dysfunctional but now seem to be edging ever closer to chaos.
So if Nadler or others go after Barr a bit too much, we may be looking at OBSTRUCTION charges against them - since theyre now obviously trying to impede him, and this time there is not shortage of underlying crimes.

A most interesting point. Well put.
Pretty sure that is what the 2nd Amendment is all about.

You have to realize our current government is FU Beyond all Repair. Continuing to pretend it works is just prolonging the demise and preventing us from deporting 30 million illegals, deporting every libtard traitor (ALA Singapore) with a warning that if the come back they will be shot and a few other things to tidy up. The sooner we admit it the sooner we can actually move on.
The problem is not that Congress can harass the President. The problem (really several) is that, under the rubric of oversight, Congress has arrogated to itself powers it does not constitutionally have. Congress is a legislative body only. It has no legitimate judicial or law enforcement role (other than impeachment). I question if it has any constitutional oversight role, but to the extent it might, that is only for the purpose of informing them on legislative matters. Congress in its modern form is nothing more than a means to enrich congress critters, give them a platform to increase their power, and pass taxpayer “favors” to their families, friends, fellow partisans and big donors.
