(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Colorado Open Records Act lawsuit on behalf of reporter Todd Shepherd against Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold for records of communications related to the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which would award Colorado’s presidential electors to the winner of the national popular vote, regardless of whether Colorado’s voters chose that candidate (Todd Shepherd v Jena Griswold in her official capacity as Colorado Secretary of State (No. 2019-cv-032310)).
The suit was filed after Griswold refused to turn over certain documents in response to a February 4, 2019, open records request for records about the Electoral College debate.
On February 21, 2019, the Colorado House passed the National Popular Vote bill and sent it to Governor Jared Polis. Colorado Secretary of State Griswold is a critic of the Electoral College and applauded Gov. Polis’s signing of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Currently, most states award all their Electoral College votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote in that state. But, as described here by the National Conference of State Legislatures, when a state, such as Colorado, “passes legislation to join the National Popular Vote Compact, it pledges that all of that state’s electoral votes will be given to whichever presidential candidate wins the popular vote nationwide, rather than the candidate who won the vote in just that state. These bills will take effect only when states with a majority of the electoral votes have passed similar legislation and joined the compact.”
Five times a presidential candidate has won the “popular vote” but lost the election, most recently Hillary Clinton. Many opponents of President Trump have proposed undoing the Electoral College. Supporters of the Electoral College point out that it balances the interests of citizens

How is it they can award on popular vote when there is no official accounting of popular vote ? They would base themselves without any officiality to certify it.
There is no federal official accounting of popular vote by certification, and the state of Colorado cannot spcertify one for itself. This is completely illegal and fraudulent.
This is unconstitutional for several reasons. Not that you’ll ever hear that from the so-called journalists.

It’s only a matter of time and the electoral college done away with.
Presently, I think that Trump will likely get the both the popular and Electoral College votes to win. But in the case of these dozen-odd states which made the funny rule that no matter how you voted in your state....the state electoral votes would have to go over to the popular vote winner...there’s going to be legal challenges.
The Supreme Court will be forced into taking this and settling it before the Electoral College deadline, and I suspect they will throw out the changes and force everyone back to the standard.
When it gets to that point, everything is on the table - including secession of states and a break-up of the US. The reality is that the left will do ANYTHING to gain and retain power, and thus no political system makes you safe from their incessant attempts to control your life. They have to be constantly fought.
if a few secretaries of state declare Harr;s is not a natural born citizen and leave her off the ballots in their states perhaps we can get the USSC to take that case, since they shirked their job on Obama.
Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswald has legally declared she will fraudulantly overturn the Signed & Sealed & Vertified election results.
And the Colorado State will change the voter results in SECRECY.
Demoncrats now “own” your state, thanks to all your CA transplants escaping their “sanctuary state” and the thousands of illegal aliens fraudulently voting for those Demoncrats!
once this is signed by enough states, during the following election the citizens of mexico city will take a day trip to california and cast a vote... since no ids are checked, the popular vote will have an extra 10-20m ...

So I sure do hope that President Trump is making a case with the Supreme Court behind the scenes. This one is probably going to have to go to the Supreme Court.

That means that anyone can show up at a polling place on Election Day,and without showing *any* proof,can claim to have just moved to the state and they're given a ballot.Given the state's proximity to a million drunks,junkies and Maoists in Massachusetts it's easy to picture busloads coming up I-93 on Election Day.
Several Republicans have specifically claimed to have lost close elections thanks to that blatantly fraudulent legislation.
This is why the mass recruitment, payment of caravans of illegals moving to the border states. Fly them anywhere they want to go in US. Plant them in Red states, dilute the red states to be blue.
The Dems have other things up their slaves, they are wickedly brilliant in scams, cheating, getting away without being charged, convicted of anything related to voting. They lost to Trump but they will never allow it to happen again.
