The American Psychoanalytic Association apologized on Friday for previously labeling homosexuality a mental illness.
“It is long past time to recognize and apologize for our role in the discrimination and trauma caused by our profession,” Lee Jaffe, the group’s president, said in a statement. “We all know that hearing the words ‘we are sorry’ is important to healing past trauma.”

It is a mental illness. They can deny it and apologize for it. But it is what it is.
But, if you think you are Napoleon, you are nuts and institutionalized right away.

Apologize for what ,telling the TRUTH?
I met a number of mostly male homosexuals in college. I found they were all troubled by one demon or another - addiction, depression, suicide, hyper-sexuality, disease, violence from other gays. That formed my views on it.
Some have even told me - they wish they didn’t have such sexual proclivities.
The gay lifestyle is nothing to be “proud” of.

Bestiality and pedophilia are higher priority.
Commies used these kinds of ‘professionals’ too.
As a group, ‘mental health professionals’ almost always stand with the folks in power.
But, “gender dysphoris” is still included.
Would this include a man who identifies as a woman and believes his rectum is a vagina?
Hmmmmm....
I’m inclined to classify modern psychiatry as a mental illness.
In the wild, any animal that didn’t contribute to the maintaining or expanding of the species would be considered a threat to the species existence.
If it teamed up with a like partner of the same sex, it would effectively remove not just one, but two donors to the gene pool.
What else could you attribute this to than a mental condition that was less than optimal?
We hear all the time of men or women who get married, have kids, and then discover who they “really” are.
That sort of rips away at the canard that they can’t help who they are attracted to, and can only function with them.
It clearly reveals that some changes do take place. And if they do, then they can be reversed through therapy.
It seems the medical profession agrees wholeheartedly if a person changes mid-life to become a homosexual, but any attempt to get them to change again back to “normalcy” is somehow a crime.
Things are really screwed up.
People need to get their minds right.
