He expects that criminals will vote Democrat. So will homosexuals, and welfare leeches, and drug abusers, and union thugs, and (so-called) intellectuals...so what’s he gonna do for them?

There is absolutely no excuse for any Kentuckian who didn't vote for Bevin.

Holy moly, looks like Kentucky has no provisions for recalling any officials.

Not moving to Kentucky.

I’m confused..this is Kentucky right? Didn’t know Dems were all that popular there.

Undesirables moving in from blue states, probably.

I think 48 other states are already doing this. So I think the union can withstand it.

Wait, what? Because 48 states are doing it, the Union can withstand it? That doesn't make any sense at all. The Union may not be very well able to withstand it, but we won't know for perhaps decades what sort of adverse effect this may have on the Union.

On the other hand, we may know by November of Next year, and it may end up causing a civil war. Another Democrat president, and the country is probably f***ed.

You serve your time, you should get to vote, unless you were convicted of vote fraud, IMO.

But this sounds like a matter for the legislature, not executive order.

Again, that is what the people voted for.

Unless this was a prominent campaign promise by this guy, then no, the people did not vote for this. This has been sneaked up on them by misleading them.

They had a choice to make and they made it. I hope they enjoy it.

Much of voting is apathy. Many people won't bother voting unless they see a dire need to do so. To assert this is a "choice" is itself misleading.

No, it wasn't a "choice", it was a "default" from not bothering to make a choice.

So what if Bevin is a jerk. Guess what....99.9% of all politicians are jerks. So at least vote for the jerk that's closest to your political beliefs.

No, typically in most states, a non-violent felon can petition for voting rights reinstated after a certain, usually a year. That said, I do not agree with the action(s) being taken by this KY libtard......

Don’t you just love it when a democrat justifies really bad action because it is due to his faith.

I’m allowing abortions in my state due to my love of Jesus Christ who told me to kill all the unborn babies we can (it is in the Bible I’m sure)

His FAITH, eh? In other words, he has faith that felons will vote for felons—AKA Dems.

“My faith also teachers forgiveness.” “That’s why on Thursday I will sign an executive order restoring voting rights to over a hundred thousand men and women who have done wrong in the past but are doing right now

Ho do you know? You say that this 100,000 are doing right now. How do you know that?

Lol. Ex-cons don’t particularly vote RAT. Few vote at all. You need to find some other way to fix the elections. You POS.

Having watched far more than my share of prison documentaries, I've always found it very hard to picture the typical ex-con worrying very much about registering to vote and getting to a polling place, or going through the hassle of "absentee balloting" or "voting by mail."

And even those who did so don't strike me as very likely to be voting for bleeding-heart liberal politicians.

I think this sort of thing is more about punishing the "normals."

But this sounds like a matter for the legislature, not executive order.

And this is exactly correct. The Governor should not be regarded as having blanket pardon powers. He should be required to pardon each and every individual he wants pardoned, and be required to do so one at a time.

Also this blanket pardon is an abuse of the pardon power. It is very unlikely that the pardon power was ever intended to be used in this fashion.

This is in fact a theft of power from the legislature. It's effectively nullifying the law prohibiting felons from voting.
