I certainly agree with that. And that’s 100% on Bush II. Right after 9/11 the entire West was with us. America was united. NATO was ready to be activated. But instead of total war, Bush decided to go with a mushy blend of police-action and nation-building while the Taliban was still unbroken.
But wait. It gets worse. Bush then decided to invade Iraq. That would be as if FDR decided to invade Russia soon after Pearl Harbor. Bush II did perhaps irreparable harm to this country. He can go straight to... (I better stop here).

Right. The Taliban will roll into Kabul just like the NVA rolled into Saigon back in 1975. But there will be two big differences.
1. The North Vietnamese sent South Vietnamese “collaborators” to re-education camps. The Taliban will simply kill the Afghan “collaborators”.
2. The North Vietnamese did not plot any attacks against America after the war ended. The Taliban will not be so pleasant. Islam demands it.
They’ll be as peaceful as a fake Palestinian.

If we expelled the Pashtun plurality to Pakistan, the Taliban would probably die with their departure. But current mores mean no President could issue such an order, and expect to have it obeyed. So we muddle on.

I don’t have a problem with that, they can kill each other all they want for as long as they want, as far as I’m concerned.
If they attempt to kill, or kill, or plot to kill any Americans, then all restrictive ROE’s are off.
Kill everything with a pulse, salt their ground and poison their wells, burn the entire country to the ground, leave nothing but a fine gray ash.
