And if the Chinese people get ugly no better way to distract them than a shiny new war.

Exactly. My worry is that the economic crisis in China will cause Xi to cause trouble abroad as a way of using nationalism to quell dissent and solidify control at home.

What's worse is that the current military situation puts a premium on striking first and quickly, and dissuading the US from intervening by presenting a fait accompli.

The same is true from our side: a quick a decisive military victory over Chinese naval forces would humiliate at lease Xi and possibly the whole CCP.

Having accepted the lockdowns, a shift over to a war mobilization would not be difficult here.

Why are people so hell bent on war with China? These types of people need to get a hobby, one that isn’t just being a slug surfing the Internet.

If we have a war with China, we’ll put those that advocated it on the front line.

I don’t think that Total War is possible because everyone understands this is the end of life as we know it. But War most certainly is possible with China and that’s not fantasy.

I think a War could look like a sea confrontation for Taiwan and we would have to fight with a limited War. China could certainly use its vast land mass to attack our fleet and I think that’s more what they would want to do. If they could neutralize our warships then Taiwan would be forced to capitulate and then China would claim both world military power and retaking the Island back.

They are also building low yield nucs, as are we, and they could also be employed in this conflict.

Would China attempt an invasion of America, I don’t think so because that would be an escalation to nuclear winter.

War with China is not unthinkable, actually it’s the normal course of direction when an emerging power seeks to gain impose its will to dominate the standing world power.

And it’s a fight I believe the CCP and the PLA are yearning to have.

“We don’t need a shooting war. We just need to have a worldwide boycott of China.”

Because boycotting a nation wouldn’t result in a shooting war??

Sure We can try. But the chances of success are not high. China has their hooks in deeply in our ‘Allies’.

The swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus that appeared in 2009 and was first found in human beings in Mexico, is a reassortant with at least three parents. Six of the genes are closest in sequence to those of H1N2 ‘triple-reassortant’ influenza viruses isolated from pigs in North America around 1999-2000.

China has a one child policy. Most families want a male child so they abort a large portion of the females. They have been doing this for years. So now what they have is, a bunch of males that can’t find females as mates. They are pissed, frustrated, and mad at the world. Their army is almost twice the size of ours.

Let that sink in.

It's silly for anyone to push for all out war with Russia or China.
Nothing will be left of this planet if such a war should occur.

Proceed with the boycott. Are we and other nations going to be forced to buy from them, as if they're the mafia? Do they OWN us?

We're just buying made in the USA, and if not available, from any other nation except for China.

IF CHINA CHOOSES TO START A SHOOTING WAR, nuke them off the face of the planet.

Maybe so, but we still have the means to persuade our allies that they are way better off with us than siding with the CCP.

There is a difference between an act of war such as boycotting and aggressively pursuing domestic policies of manufacturing.

They have nukes too, 12 minutes away. It is childish to think we have that upper hand.

Thank God you’re not in charge of foreign affairs.

The Chicoms however, would think nothing about losing a hundred million people in a nuclear exchange (thanks to Bill Clinton and Lorel for making their missiles actually work for $$$) if they thought they could then dominate the Pacific without the USN.

My uncle and others I know talked about the human waves they fought in Korea when the chicoms enteted the war. They had no regard for the losses they were taking whatsoever.

I suspect if the chicoms believe they are about lose the mandate from heaven they will go to war with Taiwan or Japan to prevent their decapitation from power and that would drag us into a shooting war rather quickly. The only way the communist give up power is if we can buy the upper levels off or they are killed. I don’t see a Chinese Gorby on the horizon.

We don’t have to go to war with China, especially not alone if it comes to that. Germany and the rest of Europe are pissed at China. We can cripple them so badly economically, that will cry like tiny babies.

There is a difference between an act of war such as boycotting and aggressively pursuing domestic policies of manufacturing.

Please elaborate on the difference.

Why is it not ok for us and our allies to stop purchasing goods from China?
