Why do you wonder; if we were in a hot war with China, I would use chemical, biological, and conventional weapons.

In a war, I WANT TO WIN, and still be alive at the end of it.

I would probably draw the line at nukes, with the caveat that if we detected a launch we would throw everything in the arsenal at both China and Russia, I don’t trust the ROOSKIES either.

And no one thought we would willingly concede our rights at the beginning of March, but here we are....

But where are they going to send their Army? Los Angeles?

Sending troops to the North American continent has always been a very high hurdle for everyone since 1812.

Their ports would be devastated by our navy. Their industrial capacity through our Air Force.

The only places their Army can go to India, Russia, SE Asia or Korea. Do they have a huge airlift? Or Sealift that could navigate thousands of miles of sub infested sea lanes?

He’s an independent journalist on YouTube. He is quite honest which is what people like about him.

...BUT he says he votes D yet is constantly not on their side. It’s as though he’s resisting the red pill with all his might. People joke because he often says “it’s complicated” - his comments light up “no, it’s really not Tim”.

He’s a nice guy...just hasn’t fully awoken yet.

What a totally stupid post. China does have the ability to do extreme damage to our nation in nuclear war. Our nation has the capability to render any foe a nuclear nightmare of destruction and radiation. Just one of our boomer subs would destroy China as a functional nation. We have many of those subs. The reason we have those subs is a first strike against our land based missiles if 100% effective (it would not be) is when our subs and remaining land based missiles strike.

Oddly when a launch from an an enemy is confirmed and valid our missiles would have been launched.

China’s economy was going to collapse before the virus. They had protesters in Hong Kong and elsewhere. Wuhan was a center of anti-government populace (former capitol for Chiang Kai-shek). They had too many mouths to feed and they were biting the hand that was doing the feeding.

Every so often China kills a million or so of their own people just to keep control.

China, other than a open declaration, has at different levels, many times stated they are at war with the US.

China got rid of mouths and protester, they brought their enemies economy down.

The CCP Wuhan flu was not the first attack nor the last.

I did not look at the video but I have stated elsewhere on FR, that a war could start, out of all of this. Certainly NOT the US starting a war against China instead, a war started by China.

China IS a totalitarian regime. The people ARE prisoners in a gilded cage. The bargain is, and has been for many years, ‘Give the CCP power and we will provide a better, and better standard of living.’ The ChiCom economy is already hurting badly because PDJT is forcing them to ‘play by the rules’ of their treaties or face tariffs. Now, as the world realizes that the CCP caused the CCP-Coronavirus and this world wide recession (and probable depression), many countries are looking to ‘bring the jobs home’. This will further squash the ChiCom economy. So much for their bargain with the Chinese people!

Already, there is anger and plenty of distrust within China about the actions of the CCP. If their economy crashes, the CCP is potentially doomed. How does a totalitarian regime remain in power and garner support from its people? START A WAR! People draw together to support their leader when a war (or crisis) breaks out.

Are the ChiComs stupid enough to launch a ‘shooting war’ against a military as strong as the US? Absolutely not! However, a war to recapture Free China, aka Taiwan, and to control the S. China Sea? THAT would solidify their shaky control over the populace of China. ‘Rally ‘round the flag’, and such.

Under the terms of the Taiwan Relations Act. “...the United States will make available to Taiwan such defense articles and defense services in such quantity as may be necessary to enable Taiwan to maintain a sufficient self-defense capabilities”. The nature and quantity of such defence services is determined by the President and Congress.

Would the ChiComs attempt to launch such an invasion just to remain in power, knowing that they might be risking WW3? Who knows? Desperate people do desperate things!

The Chinese are not starting WW III and a nuclear war.
And you can take it to the bank.
Not sure how old you are, but back in the day when Chairman Mao was in charge and the Chinese developed nuclear weapons, there was plenty of idle chatter about the Chinese starting a nuclear war with the US. Never happened.
Remember, Mao has a hard core, ideologue and a real communist. He makes Xi look like the Boys Scout.
Even Mao didn't start a nuclear war and you think Xi will?

Maybe you should read what I wrote?

Despots, when they fear being brought down, often start wars to rally their people against their enemy. Taiwan is the perfect ‘enemy’! The ChiComs can merely claim that they are ‘correcting’ a ‘province’ that has rebelled. Do they want war with the US? NO! Will they do anything to remain in power? OH, YAH! Look at Tiananmen Square!

Tens of thousands is probably less than what they killed. But they are not averse to knocking of a million of their own people here or there. Especially the elderly, unwell and protest inclined.

And the impact on US and the rest of the world is far, far greater than the actual lives lost—in case you haven’t noticed.

"I've been doing business in China for 20 years... still do today."

Many years ago I did business in Taiwan, South Korea, Japan & India, and some of them had suppliers in mainland China.
I was never there, never dealt directly with Chi-coms -- always considered them the "enemy", both commercially & militarily.

If I were still working today, I'd be telling suppliers everywhere to make certain they are not 100% dependent on mainland China for anything.
We might want to negotiate what percentages of dependence -- 1/2? 1/3? 10%? -- but regardless, they must be able to quickly switch to alternate sources.

I'd also be looking to make certain that I am not 100% dependent on any foreign source, Chinese or otherwise, for any critical materials.
If I need it bad, there has to be a 100% domestic source I can rely on...
