Yesterday I said I will wait to render an opinion until all the facts are in.

My genius was unappreciated.

BUT just in case any of you are going downtown to do some looting tonight I could use a ROKU smart tv for the shop. Just sayin’.

Murder requires intent. Murder isn’t manslaughter. And they are screaming for murder charges. Anything less than murder will result in the murder of many innocent people by the barbarian thugs.

Of course intent is required for any crime, whether the intent was to engage in a course of action with reckless disregard to the deleterious consequences. Otherwise, you could charge an unconscious person with a committing a crime while unconscious.

A drunk driver INTENTionally drives his vehicle knowing that he isn’t fully in control.

Of course the autopsy doesn’t support a murder charge. The guy died of COVID-19. :-P

LOL. You win post of the day. The Democratic governor of Minnesota will probably shut the state down for another month now.

Evidence? Trial? That’s not how it’s done in these matters

These two primary cops (not the rookies) were known for abuse of power and killing people previously. Luckily they were caught on camera this time. At least they will never serve as cops again at a minimum. Hope they and their families are being protected from mob violence.

Right. The police investigated themselves and found nothing wrong. Nobody saw this coming. Nobody at all.

I think compressing a man’s neck for two and a half minutes after he becomes unresponsive is by definition excessive force and depraved indifference to life.

Derek Chauvin was a police officer for nearly 20 years. He has had first responder training. He has seen people lose consciousness and die before.

I do not think he intended to kill Floyd. But it seems impossible that he did not realize that Floyd had become unconscious and that he had the duty to render assistance.

[Why have the officers been fired then?]

Sacrificial lambs. Either fire them or face a recall election. Plus, Democrats naturally side with blacks. Minneapolis was 19% black in 2010. It might be 1/4 black today. Blacks are a huge factor in Democratic primaries. Any Democrat who alienates them is toast.

WHAT? You mean I am supposed to consider more information than a few seconds of carefully chosen video (by the fake media) to start race riots and damage Trump’s re-election? Come on, that’s crazy talk. The cops are guilty. I read it right here at FreeRepublic.

The cop kneeling on his neck didn’t look like he cared if he killed him or not. How does that fit in with what charges are brought?

"The police investigated themselves and found nothing wrong. Nobody saw this coming. Nobody at all."

The article does not assert that.

Benjamin Lloyd Crump (born October 10, 1969) is an American civil rights attorney and founder of the Tallahassee, Florida-based law firm Ben Crump Law. He is known for his association with the 2012/2013 George Zimmerman case, and for representing the family of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African-American male shot and killed by police in Ferguson, Missouri

Crump also represents the family of George Floyd, an African-American male who was killed in Minneapolis by four police officers who have since been terminated by the city's department.

It’s because the Governor is a DFL Socialist and the mayor is a Democrat. It would not surprise me if they ordered a hit on a black man just to rile up African-Americans before the 2020 election.

But what if his death was caused by something other than the police officers’ using the force they did? Nobody knows all the facts. My gut is that the victim was on drugs or had swallowed drugs. As bizarre as it may sound, when I watched the video I did not get the sense that Mr. Floyd could not breathe. He was engaged in a conversation with his friend on the sidewalk. My antennas really went up when I saw that the autopsy was inconclusive and the medical examiner ordered more Tests. Stay tuned. I am open minded.
