Why Trump doesn’t allow for the formation of a multimillion member ,Federally deputized, Civilian Volunteer Militia . Self armed and at the ready. Can you imagine the lines of volunteers that would sign up ?

Yeah.....and a couple with evil intent ready and willing to create a very bad situation.

That is a great idea. I just wonder about the legalities; would the U.S. (the taxpayer) be liable when there’s a problem? Or would there be an exemption like there is for police?

This is the idea that I have supported since my civil duties on the border.

If the military is not a fit then the most viable solution to support LEO, is the Militia.

1. Despite all the author's excuses, he knows that President Trump has full authority to Federalize National Guard under Title 10, and/or the Insurrection Act.

The guy in this link was against the President doing so, but even he lays it out in black and white that the President has the authority under both Title 10 and the Insurrection Act.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/markcancian/2020/06/02/the-president-has-the-power-call-out-the-troopsbut-shouldnt/#49780182f179

2. President Trump himself said on numerous occasions that he could call in the Guard if he wanted to. He even said it during interviews and press conferences, and tweeted threats about it.

And again, despite the author's protest against "sending in the troops", Trump just took credit for doing so in Wisconsin.

Oh, I know...…."bbbbbut, that governor was cooperating with Trump." Well, guess what. Those mayors and governors that were complicit in the riots should have been arrested. If you want to use posse comitatus as an excuse (and many judges and lawyers will disagree that it even applies in these cases), then Federal agents could and should have arrested these traitors.

For all the numskulls who cheer on the "Do Nothing" approach, they are contributors to the lawlessness that is now the reality in America.

Go look at Facebook, or Conservative news outlets. People are assaulted while getting groceries, or gasoline, or walking, or eating.

When you allow lawlessness to fester, it grows.

The naysayers like the guy in this article complains about how tough it would be to send in the bulls, so allowing criminals to drag our nation into lawlessness is so, sooooo much better.

I think it may be too late anyway. We will never get our nation back.

Guess what happens when you strike a FEDERAL officer? Or you’re arrested by the feds for rioting? You get prosecuted by the feds and totally bypass that limp-wristed county district attorney who’s dismissing all the local charges.

Yep. This is the reason that making the state cops federal marshals was a brilliant idea.

I you look at the history of federal marshals, started in 1789 and it is NOT located in DC, it's headquarters are in Kansas City.

This is also the reason I, and others have advocated the disbanding of the FBI and having the marshal service taking over their functions.

An excellent article by Kurt Schlichter.

He lays out most of the positives and negatives.

For those who push the "Just do it" idea, that is a very bad idea.

It is bad for the numerous political reasons which Kurt lists very well.

We are not at the point, yet, where President Trump should invoke the insurrection act.

Yes, this is a matter of judgement.

“Can you imagine the lines of volunteers that would sign up ?”

You do have a point. All it would take would be good leadership just asking for it.

Hypothetical scenario: Trump actually wins the next election. The rats have already stated they will not accept the results and their allies in the military ranks seek to arrest him. Trump’s personal security forces saves him and he makes a national appeal for this volunteer force to be set up.

Trust me, this would happen in just about all states, and a good CWII style housecleaning would ensue nation wide. It would be a good time to buy stock in companies that make rope.

I agree with most of what he says but the non-permissive thing isn’t much of an argument. Are the local governments in the M.E. permissive? And what’s with soldiers needing the help of local hospitals? Does it work that way in Syria?

It really comes down to optics unfortunately.

70% of people in the US believe that people under 50 are dying in droves from covid. What would those same 70% be told by the msm and believe?

The msm is the biggest domestic enemy we have.

First the feds should charge the DA and Mayor with civil rights charges for not protecting the citizens of Portland.

They exposed their hand when they called Trump “totalitarian” for sending in the troops to protect FEDERAL property in Portland. The handlers of these useful idiots are desperate for Trump to send in the troops, and the “totalitarian” meme will explode. But he’s not taking the bait.

And the optics make them look terrible. Their cities burn more and more, and they do nothing to stop it. All the while Trump is standing in front of troops just outside of town telling them, “just give me the word” - but they won’t. They’ve painted themselves into a corner.

What's glaringly obvious is that Trump respects the laws, is truthful, and shows exemplary forbearance and restraint, even as the Democrats shout that he wants to be a dictator.

It's no surprise that the Party of Hate and Evil would do that, but it is a bit of a surprise that anyone would believe them.

I see several comments wondering about calling up militias
If you are on Twitter, search the hashtag, #TakeTheOath.

So many have taken the oath. It is believed that if things go south, the 2A people will be deputized. General Flynn has the hashtag on his page.

Several Sheriffs have already said they would deputize gun owners if push comes to shove.

It’s ALWAYS been a Liberal trap, set to compromise and ruin the President. The Liberals started this whole thing and have been spoiling for a confrontation… just like the school bully on the playground. It’s so crude and obvious.

As a former Guardsman (24+ years) who fought three riots in the late 60s, and a Fireman Strike in Milwaukee and a State Workers Union Strike in the ‘70’s, this guy is dead on right!

We had a permissive environment back then. Now, we have the opening acts of CWII. These Democrat Governors and Mayors are holding pistols to their own heads, screaming “Don’t Laugh! You’re Next!”

Let ‘em pull the trigger!

Haven’t figured that one out yet. Breaking federal law is a crime to state authorities anyway.

Not if the local DA refuses to prosecute. This opens up the federal courts.

that would surely work, but why do it?
people need to learn that you get what you ask for, or in ohter words, you get the government you elect.

The people living in these cities elected communists, who in turn appointed communist police chiefs.

The leaders did not do this, the people that elected them did this to themselves.

everything in life comes with a price tag. Utopia has a price too. Now that they have to pay the price they have temper tantrums like little 5 year old children.

They have tried to take this on the road, and everywhere the commies are not in control, they got their little pee pees smacked.

Note that there has been very little of this crap coming from Detroit. Detroit learned its lesson, and will have nothing to do with this nonsense. But, there always has to be a Detroit.

Seattle, portland, new york are going to be the new detroit’s.

let them burn...
