Flautist, not flutist.
This should be a good time to be an attorney practicing in defense of free speech.
I like the way she thinks.
.......”this one time, at band camp”......
Don’t flaunt it..................
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!.....................
You are flaunting your flute knowledge as he flouts flautist convention.
That’s something she could have put on her own personal blog. If posting on the account owned by the symphony, it’s best to stick with matters directly related to the symphony.
I agree with most of her stated views, but that was not the correct forum to talk about personal views on controversial topics.

Her outspoken comments are music to my ears.
Publicly naming and attempting to shame a fellow member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is ‘juvenile at best’.....THEY should be ashamed of such childish behavior!

This is Baltimore don’t forget. Low expectations are the norm.
The orchestra tweeted that it does not condone the “words or sentiments” expressed in the posts on the personal social media accounts of flutist Emily Skala.
The Twitter and Facebook posts WERE her personal blog.
This is another communist witch hunt for wrong think.
What? The symphony does not own her Facebook or twitter accounts. But feel free to share your silly comment yourself with her here: https://mobile.twitter.com/skala_emily
I was a flute major years ago. She has a VERY nice tone and seems to use the “Moyse Technique”.

Exactly....
.....Skala said she does not accept resident biden as the authentic winner of November’s election......
She’s RIGHT on that one!!!! The others—not so much!
But the orchestra has NO RIGHT to cancel her—or her Constitutional right to freedom of speech!!!!
I lived near the Maryland border and visited Baltimore on a day trip. What an eye opener that was.
