President Joe Biden on Tuesday defended his administration’s decision to enforce coercive edicts mandating coronavirus vaccines on the American people, despite admitting that vaccination requirements are “not popular.”
“Customers are more likely to come and shop because they know it’s a safe environment. I know vaccination requirements are not popular for many,” Biden stated during Tuesday’s address on the Chinese coronavirus.

What’s more, they aren’t required, dumbass.
I know we are a republic.
I know we are not a democracy.
We do not have a system where, if the mob wants “this” then we give them “this” and if the mob cries out for “that” then we simply give the mob “that”. Our system of government isn’t really like that.
However, if We The People do not want vaccine mandates, then the government should hear that message. The government has no business going all Dictator and forcing schools, businesses and individuals to jab themselves with experimental crap.

Biden, as usual, is wrong. If there are two businesses I could patronize, one requires vaccines and/or masks and the other one doesn't - I am going to go for freedom every time. That's not even hypothetical, that's real, BTDT.
If it comes down to a choice between businesses that don't require masks or vaccines, but they do for their employees, whichever one is less restrictive and intrusive on their employees wins. This isn't hypothetical either. There's a local pizza shop that no-longer requires it's employees to wear masks. Even though their pizza is just ok, not the best available, they get my business.
Now, if by "safe environment" you mean the difference between a business that promotes open or concealed carry vs one that prohibits carry... I'm going to go for the 2A supporting safer business.
Wouldn’t be so bad if you actually had a working vaccine. I have no problems getting vaccines before I travel to South America or Africa, or Asia...but then I have a reasonable expectation that I will not get the disease I am being vaccinated against. I also have a reasonable expectation to not have an adverse side effect. Though nothing is certain either way, I find the risk acceptable, plus the diseases I am being protected against are far worse than maybe getting sick for a few days, though the risk is higher than necessary with covid since the powers that be actively fight against any treatment that doesn’t net billions to themselves and their cronies

True, we are not a democracy. But being a republic doesn’t mean they can flip the finger to what the people want. It is just that there are guardrails and the people do not get EVERYTHING they demand.
An example would be shot mandates.
It doesn’t all make sense either. It doesn’t make sense to fire people who are able to work from home. People have a right to refuse vaccination and firing people for not getting it is just taking out retribution.
Here in blue CA, I’ve seen both, when it comes to restaurants (I eat out a lot, and with groups).
I’ve seen people learn who checks vax and masks, and avoid going to those restaurants again after learning that (me included).
I’ve also met people though who will only go to restaurants in counties that check for vax—or only to those restaurants they’ve learned WILL check for vax—because they are full of fear that all the non-vaxxed are congregating in those restaurants that don’t check.
No sh!t Joe, and what’s more they don’t f*cking WORK. F*cking cretin.
