I used to buy Penzey spice all the time, but after his first deflamatory and irrational rant (about 5 years or so ago), I looked elsewhere. I found Spice House, which actually has better flavored and fresher spices and at a better price.

The Spice House was started back in 1957 by Bill Penzey Sr. and his wife. It then went to Penzey Jr.’s sister and her husband, Tom Erd. They preferred to keep the company apolitical. The company was more recently sold to a couple fellows outside the family. It seems Penzey Jr (the vile guy) began his own spice ventures after college.

From my above-referenced 2018 New Yorker article: “In a letter addressed to “America’s CEOs” posted to his Facebook page that December, Penzey wrote that, in the two weeks following his post-election e-mail, the ‘right wing firestorm’ cost the company three per cent of its customers.”
3% should be nothing. I’m guessing that the people who can afford to order fancy spices by mail order are not the welfare crowd.

Learning what Rush’s old sponsors who bailed on him and then wanted to come back are learning. Also learning the foolishness of Hillary’s “Deplorables” comment. She dissed half the country as “Deplorables” in a speech to an audience of people who identify and organize their personal lives around sexual relations with members of the same sex, try to wrap your brain around that.
Don’t care much for Maya Angelou but someone on here put an excellent quote of hers up a while back: When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
