That’s true. Watch this story disappear quickly with a public hug and a wink and a nod.

With the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991, Crimea became part of an independent Ukraine. Crimea's communist authorities proclaimed self-government in 1992, which ultimately led to the territory being granted expanded autonomous rights by Kiev.  SOURCE>>>>>  https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/140305-maps-crimea-history-russia-ukraine

A plebiscite in Crimea resulted in 85% of the residents favoring reunification with Russia.

A plebiscite? So now we are supporting Stalinist terror, fake elections, ethnic cleansing, deportations to Siberia, etc.?

Muscovites would never have had to steal Crimea at gun point if they genuinely had 85% support.

Hi.

The question was regarding the last three hundred years. I could have went further back in history, no matter.

I don’t have a dog in this fight. I will say that Russia illegally invaded the Ukraine and Putin needs to cease hostilities.

Russia purchased Crimea from the Ottoman Empire. Since, they have buried a million soldiers there.

Russians conquered and seized Crimea from the Ottoman Empire. They did not pay a dime for it. There are nowhere near one million Russian troops buried there. Here is what your approved source RT says about the Crimea>>>

Russia purchased Crimea from the Ottoman Empire.

Since, they have buried a million soldiers there.

And stupid people think it can be taken from them.

Actually, they fought a war and then later Russia typically back stabbed after the treaty was signed. Russians have their own version of Taqiyya so it’s best not to pay any attention to what they promise.

Smart people know Russia will collapse (again) and Turkey will take what it wants then.

“Notice they haven’t invited NATO warships into the Black Sea.”

Which is as per the terms of the agreement. No warships are allowed in the Black Sea during a conflict that are not based in the Black Sea, and there are no NATO ports on the Black Sea besides Turkish ones.

YES! Russia must give back Crimea To Ukraine! and all other lands of the so called Republics! And China should Give back Tibet she took as well as Hong Kong. Spain should seize Gibraltar England took, Serbia should get Kosovo, Germany should get back East Prussia she lost. Mexico should get back California and Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. France should get back Canada and Haiti. No, history belongs to those who take what they want—its sad, unfair and even cruel but it is history. We can not keep forever to the boundaries of post WW II world.

We have to be paying off Turkey somehow. I know we have weapons stored there. I'll do a little googling.

A couple years back...it was all about..."How the hell did Erdogan even get elected?"
