McCarthy needs to withdraw.

Chip Roy would be a fantastic Speaker of the House.

This is just plain stupid and makes the party look ridiculous in the eyes of those that don’t understand the system of government that we embrace.

If he wants to win, he’s gong to need to get some democrats to vote for him.

Buffalo Man is ready to come out of jail-retirement and assume the Speaker role, per the Bee.

I am not a fan of the concept of “Let’s keep voting on this thing until I win, then it will be carved in stone and you can’t ever change it.” That’s how the Left does things.

If you lose 4 times, you should probably step aside.

From the article: ...the longest and most grueling fight for the gavel started in late 1855 and dragged out for two months, with 133 ballots, during debates over slavery in the run-up to the Civil War.

It's not a coincidence that the voting is going like this as we're in Civil War II. Make no mistake, we've been in a Civil War for some time now.

This is very bad. The Deep State now sees an opportunity to weaken the GOP and perhaps manipulate Democrat control over the House in the process.

So how many sessions will be required before he withdraws?

Nearly every person on FR has at one time or another said Republicans don’t how to fight and have bitterly complained about leadership.

This is what leadership and fighting looks like, McCarthy has limited options, either he gets democrats to vote for him which is highly unlikely, or the hard-core Republicans change their vote which also is highly unlikely.

IOWs, McCarthy has very little or no chance to win, with he backs off for party unity or he drags this out hurting the Republicans.

For whatever reason he can’t get the votes and that’s on him.

They’ve got until the 23rd when Congress reconvenes to end this 🤡 show and prove they are interested in governing and not petty squabbles for position and power. If they do not, then some will vote for Jefferies who already has 212 votes. Thus signalling the end of the GOP & proving they are a bunch of 🤡s and cannot govern.

How embarrassing was the Democrat presidential nomination process???

They had to bribe Bernie to go lay off and hide in his brand new house.. gifted to him.

Stop with the hand wringing. This process is healthy. Don’t shortcut it. Trump can gain some traction here if he plays his cards right.
