A new poll conducted for the Wall Street Journal by the polling firm run by Tony Fabrizio, the pollster for Donald Trump, finds Ron DeSantis leading Joe Biden by three points but Trump trailing Biden by three points:

The good news for Trump is that the same poll finds Trump regaining his lead over DeSantis in a head-to-head GOP primary matchup. After the midterm elections, which saw DeSantis win by 19 points while many of Trump’s key picks crashed and burned, DeSantis had a 13-point lead over Trump in a head-to-head matchup. Those numbers have now flipped:

The same poll finds that 51 percent of Republican primary voters would prioritize the electability of a GOP presidential candidate, while 44 percent would be most likely to vote for the candidate who “best represents” a voter’s values.

I’ve noted a number of comments from Freepers, that while they like Trump, they would support DeSantis instead, because they think DeSantis has a better chance in the general election.

I refuse to believe any poll who has America actually voting for Biden after 3 years of complete and utter misery and failure. If enough of America is actually that stupid, that brainwashed, then I don’t know if there’s hope. In my opinion the polls are always keeping Biden in close range so that the steal isn’t so obvious.

Does not matter - Biden will get a 2nd term in another landslide - 2020 cheating never fixed. So 2024 the Democrats will be using all the 2020-2022 methods, plus even more cheating methods. They cannot lose; they cannot afford to lose.
2028 will see run off between Dr.Jill ans AOC. There will be only a few die hard Republicans remaining. Digital citizenship will be a reality, and those not digitalized will not be allowed to vote among many other disallowed activities.
Voting, in any case, will be a mere formality with all issues previously decided by Democrats.
At this stage, the DeSantis is the equivalent of “Not Trump”. The left will treat him like Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Jimmy Swaggart rolled into one. I am not sure he would know how to deal with it. Better than Romney, maybe, but that’s not enough.
Oh man! Polock jokes! I haven’t thought about those in a LONNNNG time. Probably since this incident: Me and a couple of buds were sitting in a Waffle House in west Nashville, and started telling Polock jokes. Little did we know there was a Polish guy in the booth behind us. Finally he’d had enough, and started yelling at us. Saying that it wasn’t right how an entire nationality of people had been denigrated by a bunch of jokes. We apologized profusely, and finally he paid and left. Shortly after we did the same only to run into him in the parking lot where he was obviously waiting for us. Dude had a RAZOR! And said he was going to cut us! And he WOULD have too, if he had been able to find a place to plug it in!
Many are probably voting against Trump rather than for Biden. Trump has ardent supporters and haters. He is both polarizing and galvanizing.
I don't doubt it, but polls 18 months before an election are generally worthless, and DeSantis has not seen a full assault by the deep state/media industrial complex.
The media loved Trump until he ran against Hillary, and even worse, won.
I will crawl over broken glass to vote for (almost) any Republican against any Democrat in 2024. I want a Republican to win, but I'm not sure either can overcome the margin of enhanced Democrat vote fraud as things stand now.

Ha, ha... Trump won twice already. Trump got 600,000 more votes in Florida than DeSantis did on his great victory. Trump got 16,000,000 more votes in 20 than he did in 16.
Only a fool would believe that basement dwelling demented fool would get 81,000,000 votes. Or that he would beat Obama in his prime by at least 30% in every black community in the nation after insulting them weekly.
Or that Biden won the presidency by winning in the fewest number of counties in history. Dream on.
Now if DeSantis beats Trump, I don’t care if he doesn’t play fair. Politics is war without bloodshed. But if beats out Trump, there is no way I am not voting for him. I like what he has done in my great state.
But until voting is fair, no republican will ever win with the establishment’s approval. Voters do not determine elections, 2016 was a fluke.
