WASHINGTON — Air Force Gen. CQ Brown, president Joe Biden’s nominee to serve as the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned today that Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s high-profile blockade of military appointments will force the US military to “lose talent.”
Speaking before the Senate Armed Services Committee during his confirmation hearing for his impending role, Brown said in response to questions from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., that officials are “working to mitigate the challenges associated with the holds,” on hundreds of military nominations, highlighting impacts on readiness, leadership transitions and military families.
Brown also underscored concerns with retention, stating that younger officers may not want to pursue military service if politics jeopardizes their career advancement. “Because we have more junior officers who now will look up and say, ‘if that’s the challenge that I’m gonna have to deal with in the future, I may not want to — I’m gonna balance between my family and serving in a senior position.’ And we will lose talent because of those challenges,” he reasoned.

Dammit! Tuberville needs to understand that the military is in dire need of talent for their drag shows and trans-beauty contests.
Given what losers I’ve seen “leading” the USAF right now, I’d say losing some top brass would not involve losing any talent whatsoever. Fire the woke. Then tar them. Then feather them. Then shoot their butt-kissing *sses into the sun.
What is Tuberville asking for in exchange for greenlighting the promotions that the people running Joe Biden are refusing to provide Congress?
their idea of Talent and mine are worlds apart. no one of major caliber is motivated to sign up for Joey B anyway. i’m all for blocking more Woke in the military. carry on, Tuberville.
Ye shall know them by the garbage that spews from their mouths.
Tuberville is walking the walk. One of the very few. A lot of them say they will do something, and then when they have the reins of power in that thing, they simply don’t.
He does. This is important, but probably too late.
What is Tuberbille’s complaint all about? The military has been aggressively “shedding talent” since Brandon shambled into office.
Tuberville, do not pay attention to faggot-loving workester and Air Force Gen. CQ Brown. Continue to fight the good fight.
Isn’t Brown the guy that said there are too many white officers and the AF should increase diversity in the officer ranks? If so, he’s not really very interested in talent.
For years Democrat politicians refused to take part in the approving of applicants for appointment to West Point. Since the nineteen eighties that changed. For nearly fifty years the Democrats have been seeding the Academies with kids with radical parent-background. The worst has been the Naval Acadamy, and we now have a Navy that is trending toward third world. The military think tanks and the military-industrial complex have understood what has occurred, and it is the understanding that we do not have a military we can trust that is leading the development of robotics for military purposes.
“warned today that Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s high-profile blockade of military appointments will force the US military to “lose talent.””
Must be a woke General.
The military has already lost a LOT of talent. But then, that talent was honed in preparation for war and deterrence, not for transgender and inclusion purposes.
Doomed to lose the next brushfire war. Maybe we could hire the Ukrainians as a mercenary force, they are pretty battle-hardened. What the heck, the Wagner Group, now that Putin has kicked them out of the Russian Federation.
I’m sure some of these appointments are being given as rewards for pushing DIE and drag shows.
Nothing scares the chicoms more than a drag show
Well gosh, then maybe you should roll back your radical abortion policy since that is the very thing Senator Tuberville warned you in advance would result in him putting a hold on all promotions.
Ya think?
Better to lose talent than get the wrong kind of talent.
The military is top-heavy. I’d eliminate everyone above one star. Promote that Raisin Cane fella.
Just read that the military is going to bring back its “talent” by allowing the recruits to use marijuana. We’re on a roll now! sarc/
Maybe losing talent is partially based on leaving brave women and men to die as the military scurried out of Afghanistan with our tails tucked between our legs? No man left behind , right?
