...It’s a complicated question, one that touches on the film’s unorthodox funding methods, its faith-based marketing, and its blend of traditional filmmaking with messaging that relentlessly tells its fans that the mere act of paying to see it is a virtuous and valorous act....
. . Variety’s Owen Gleiberman described it as a “solid thriller,” emphasizing that the film’s base appeal works even without the huge amounts of baggage that have been attached to it by its supporters and star... .
. AMC was fielding a variety of rumors, including accusations of canceling showings, sabotaging sound systems, and even screwing with the A/C in its theaters, in order to make viewing the movie an uncomfortable experience, as part of a narrative that someone was trying to “stop” people from seeing the film.

It might be the pay forward thing.
Except even the CEO of Angel says no those things aren’t happening. And would really like people to stop spreading silly conspiracies.

Brother please.
Rule ! 1 for liars
” don’t cop to $h!t “
What did you ecpect, a confession ?
Nation wide first hand accounts buddy.
That whole conspiracy shtick has gone pretty flaccid despite the media Viagra ilk like you push.
I saw it AMC, no AC issues, no ticket issues. Well attended matinee. 6pm show was sold out by 1pm.
In theory since movie tickets are mostly bought online and emailed to people all you’d have to do is buy a bunch of tickets, get people to tell you they want to see it and email them a ticket.
But you’ve got to put in the work. Actually find people who want to see it and email them. It would seem people are doing the buying but failing at distributing.
Boy you really can’t read. Let me type more slowly:
the
CEO
of
ANGEL
The distributor
The people YOU say are the GOOD GUYS
He says any problems are within normal “life in an imperfect world” problems and that AMC has been their best partner and people like you are just being conspiracy addicted and silly.
It would be hard to shutdown the AC in just one theater in today’s modern theater megaplexs.
Each theater does not have independent AC units.
/\
Brother please.
I bet each screen room has a thermostat though.
It’s 2023 not 1800.
It probably isn’t a top down ‘ plan’, although it could be
but it is happening
these people reporting it aren’t ALL liars
thats the reprobates
” sjw by any means” virtue.
and they are probably the ones doing it on their own personal mission possible.
Experts baffled!
My theory is that if there is an AC problem with Sound Of Freedom the theater will get very hot, very fast. On the other hand if the AC breaks during a showing of Indiana Jones: So Very Old an usher with a hand fan and a large cup of ice can keep the “crowd” cool.
Fighting demons isn’t cheap but first you have to know them by their fruits.
Prudent, considering for them to do otherwise would not only feed the conspiracy narrative but also open them up to litigation.
I believe it’s people buying seats to support the movie...We have done that several times especially knowing there’s no way we can get out to see a movie.
feed the conspiracy narrative of the scattered unrelated or coordinated reports being false on purose.
BWEAHAHAHAHAH
You’ve got every excuse in the book to keep your silly conspiracy going.
Here’s an idea:
Maybe
just maybe
YOU’RE FULL OF CRAP
It’s not suppressed. There is no conspiracy. After all it has made $100 MILLION dollars. So either this is the worst conspiracy EVER, or there isn’t one.
When there were many bookstores, I would enjoy placing conservative best sellers in with the liberal books. If there were no new, conservative books at the moment, I would find books by Thomas Sowell, R. Emmett Tyrrell, etc, and place them with the liberal books.
Purpose.
They’re not clueless about normal Americans. They hate us and want us dead. They’re just surprised thwt we’re rising off our hindquarters and pushing back. Beware the wrath of the patient man. Pushback needs to become punchback.
Oh look
Another “ projectionist”
Pun fully intended.
Forgive me if that wasn’t directed at me.
/-)
They can only do so for so long.
Even multi-billion dollar companies can ignore huge losses for so long.
CEO and other officer’s of the company are predicated on meeting monetary goals.
Stock prices suffer.
You don’t lead a company into insolvency without suffering yourself.
At least that is the way it is supposed to work.
Maybe today is the day that corporate finance changes.
