The Democratic governor of Wisconsin has vetoed a bill that sought to outlaw gender transition treatments for minors.
The veto from Gov. Tony Evers was expected, according to The Associated Press, as he previously vowed to strike down any proposals from the Republican-controlled Wisconsin legislature that he deems harmful to LGBTQ+ youth.
The bill was passed by the state legislature in October. It would have banned gender transition surgeries, as well as all forms of transition treatment for minors in the Badger State, which includes puberty blockers and hormone treatment using estrogen and testosterone.

let’s hope that sometime very very soon that it is proven in court that it’s harmful to children, and all of those who advocated for it can then be sued into bankruptcy for advocating such a heinous thing

Liberals are in favor of all this transgender business. He’s just doing what liberals would expect him to do, in vetoing such legislation.

I feel this is being looked at in the wrong way. If there is a medical procedure for anyone it should be looked at as a medical procedure. Not a political statement.
Too much of this issue is coming from those that really have nothing to do with a medical determination of another person not in their charge. We just changed the abortion issue at the federal level by throwing out Roe vs. Wade from their use. It doesn’t change that states can use the same policies the feds used in their state. But it takes their fingers out of the pie. So that was an imnprovement.
The legality of cosmetic surgery has been displayed time and time again with the different types of surgeries being done. Almost every part of the body has and can have surgery for correction or vanity in our history. If it doesn’t make any difference if a woman wants an E cup bust line from a B, then isn’t it the same thing. It’s her bust, not ours. And if you don’t think teen girls are not getting augumentation, then you are out of touch with our societal expectations.
So trying to object to a state determining the legalities of sex change, is actually at this point infringing on their privileges. I had a woman a couple of weeks ago get on me saying if she had raised me I wouldn’t think the way I do...conservative. And my retort was that I was raised to think for myself, not be a sheep. Liberals are all alike.
It’s their state’s determination. If the voters don’t like it, vote them out at the first oppotunity and get people in that think like the voters as a whole do. That’s why we have states’ rights and vote the people in that make the laws for them.

The only “transgender” possible is either male to neuter, or female to neuter. The transformation CANNOT proceed further. Worse, it is irreversible, and lasts for whatever remaining lifetime the victim has. There is a scurrilous argument being used, “Would you rather have a dead son than a live trans-daughter?” First of all, the threats of suicide are a negotiating ploy by a troubled adolescent, and very rarely carried out. But secondly, once the alterations are done, if it is more than adopting mannerisms of the opposite sex and dress-up, when the implications of NEVER going back hit, the terrors that induce suicide are much greater and far more certain.
Sterilization of youth and depopulation of the planet on the installment plan. Fortunately, only a small contingent of youth is trapped just this way, but it is an alarming thing for the rest of their cohort to have to deal with.
Plus a lifelong dependency of medical support and its concurrent expense.
