Now THERE’S a precedent that will finally get some legs...and usage. Just waiting for the next Lefty Judge to try to go against it. We’ll be watching.

...nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;

This is the part that grinds my gears. Section 1 of the 14th amendment uses the word "citizen" twice earlier in that section. I wish they'd have used it a third and fourth time in Section 1 instead of "person". A lot of today's problems would not be happening if it were so.

Jesus Christ, finally someone talks about this! Good!
Antifa destroyed 110 inner cities in America, destroyed family businesses and lives. Lynched and killed scores of innocent people and policemen. Then came the plundering, the arson, the vandalism.
They reenacted the movie The Purge. It’s just horrific when reality goes beyond fiction. But that was what it was.
But even worse was when some media were fanning the flames, rationalizing the criminals behaviour.

Well thats a FReath of Bresh Air!

Who knows, the judge may survive cancel culture long enough to make a difference.

Lets see the 24 / 7 parade outside his house with fascist drums beating through the night like the fascists did in Washington.

Wow. This judge has lost his everloving mind! He can’t say outrageous stuff like that. How can anybody that obtuse be a judge anyhow? Just maddening I tell you.

Now let’s apply this same enlightened standard to abortion clinics. The peaceful protestors are being hit with federal charges while their tormentors are celebrated.

Carney is the same judge who struck down the California’s so-called Unsafe Handgun and Sensitive Acts last year.

A rare pushback against the omnipresent (and nearly omnipotent) fascism that has this country in its iron grip.

I’m glad somebody called out the repressive tolerance taking place in this country. However, the judge should expect retribution from certain quarters: throttling his social media accounts, squatters “copping” his home, flat tires, graffiti, protests outside his home, possibly worse. Hopefully, he won’t be a late judge anytime soon.

Now, can this be applied more nationally?

Know what I am worried about now at this point with this ruling? Ca will counter it and get an unconstitutional ruling that prosecutions “CAN BE” selective. Which will then set a precedent nationwide and essentially render selective prosecution legal. So while this looks good, it may create another serious legal problem.

“Now, release all Jan. 6th political prisoners, and dismiss charges.”

I think there should also be a class-action lawsuit for wrongful prosecution, as this applies to most of these political prisoners.

A couple million dollars each would send a strong message.

“Such selective prosecution leaves the troubling impression that the government believes speech on the left more deserving of protection than speech on the right,” Judge Carney wrote

The "troubling impression" is based on thousands of cases of unequal application of our laws.

It's the right decision but a couple of things to keep in mind: the uneven, unlawful prosecution was initiated by Nicola Hanna -- not the current pendejo -- who betrayed his appointment. Another thing is that RAM are human garbage, and it would have been perfectly fine IF they had been prosecuted alongside each and every ANTIFA creep.

Tell that to all those in DC arrested and tried by the DC gestapo.
