Yes, agree 100%. Just a shame that it’s the only resource...for breaking news. Nothing else is as fast, or widespread :(

Re: “My guess his acquittal on state charges of employing illegals, including children, played some part in the decision not to prosecute as well.”

I disagree.

The Feds dismissed the immigration charges several months BEFORE Iowa's child labor case even started.

Trump's commutation (is that the right word?) has really upset me, for two reasons.

First, the immigration bust on Rubashkin, which involved almost 400 illegal workers, was the largest in USA history. There is no way that Trump can justify releasing this guy.

Second, after Trump's commutation, hundreds of Orthodox Jews filled various streets in New York City to celebrate Rubashkin’s release.

Celebrating Rubashkin's release? The man is a shameless criminal, not only for his immigration crimes, but for defrauding two banks of $27 million!

Here is a summary of the financial crimes that Sholom Rubashkin was convicted of in November 2009.

After this conviction, the U.S. Attorney dropped the immigration crimes against Rubashkin because the fraud charges carried a heavier sentence.

Almost 400 illegal workers were found at Rubashkin’s meat processing company, which was the largest immigration bust in American history.
