Which is illogical, for unless you hold to the typical RC strawman of SS, which supposes that the sufficiency part excludes the magisterial office, that,
"It belongs to synods and councils, ministerially to determine controversies of faith, and cases of conscience; to set down rules and directions for the better ordering of the public worship of God, and government of his Church; to receive complaints in cases of maladministration, and authoritatively to determine the same.." Or that the validity of the interpretation of SS disciple is based upon ensured veracity, then SS does not mean every man is a pope, which I assume is the argument referred to.
And just where does Augustine address sola scriptura as it was formulated in the Protestant Reformation (not that he held to it)?
What was other writings did he hold to be the inerrant word of God?
Do you understand the difference btwn being a supreme authoritative judicial administrative authority vs. being supreme authoritative source of Truth?
