JAG 5000 Writes:
You go into a Super Walmart Store and you go into a Super Mall, like The Mall Of America, and you look at what is on the shelves.
You pause and reflect upon the numerous varieties of raw materials used to make the hundreds of thousands of material objects found in those stores and in the world at large --- from paper clips to huge ocean going cruise ships and aircraft carriers and Boeing 747's.
You pause and think about the almost unfathomable number of material objects humans have made from the raw materials (eg. steel, copper, iron) that go into the construction of all the infrastructure that makes up all the buildings and skyscrapers in all the cities of the entire world. New York City, London, Atlanta, Paris, Brussels, and many thousands of other cities and towns worldwide.
You stop and reflect upon the millions of different kinds of material objects that have existed and do now exist throughout the world --- objects that allow us to both do the world's work and to relax and enjoy life.
Do you believe that all that above was produced by non-intelligent natural processes? Many millions of human beings find that to be incredible.
Here are some raw materials and some objects that man made from raw materials. Do you believe that non-intelligent natural processes produced or made possible all of this?
Lead, tin, copper, bauxite, iron ore, raw latex, crude oil, coal, cotton, trees, granite, gems, mercury, zinc, glass, paper clips, rubies, chemicals, potassium, topaz, diamonds, titanium, nickel, plastics, paper, jasper, lumber, natural gas, minerals, steel, corn, grain, gasoline, milk, vegetables, fish, meat, dairy products, fruit, sapphires, cell phones, computers, refrigerators, concrete, etc
` The world of untold millions of different kinds of raw materials and physical objects made by humans from those raw materials, and the way they co-exist together allowing humans to build the modern world as it exists today --displays a staggering amount of Intelligent Design.
It is reasonable to believe that all that up there was produced by an Intelligent Designer.
It is highly unreasonable to believe that all that up there was produced by natural processes apart from an Intelligent Designer -- with an Intelligent Mind that had an intelligent plan for the human race.
`
Because human beings are endorphin junkies. And experiencing something as beautiful releases endorphins. Keeps us relaxed.
“What are the odds of all of this occurring as a cosmic accident?”___Heartlander
Zero chances.
That’s interesting. I’m gonna have to read up on that one.
“Atheism is its own Religion.”___Elbook
Yes. Exactly!
Atheism functions, for all practical purposes, as a religion. Atheists deny that their Atheism is a religion, but if it quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and looks like a duck — then it IS a duck.
Add this: “A rose by another name. is still a rose.”
By the way, the so-called “New Atheists”, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, and the late Christopher Hitchens is/was as “convert-seeking” as any Baptist Preacher.
We can rightly call Richard Dawkins the Rev. Richard Dawkins because he is out there to make converts to his Atheist Religion. By the way, the Atheist philosopher Michael Ruse said that Richard Dawkins made him ashamed to be an Atheist — and explained why. It was because of the outrageous ugly vicious hate-filled rants and attacks that Dawkins made against all people of Faith.

Yah. Me too.
When you bottom line Atheists .. they believe “S-it Happens”

Whadda ‘bout China?
Most of that stuff in Walmart Stores
was made by the Chinese. I don’t
think America gets a huge amount of
stuff from Africa. Maybe later.

I don't know if that had any effect...she's a smart kid so who knows!
“However, the bigger question is how were humans created from nothing? Some intelligent being had to create the design for a Big Bang to even occur, if the Big Bang is their retort back. Without matter, there are no building blocks to create anything else.
The odds of something self generating itself out of nothing are so astronomical as to be completely beyond the capabilities of even the fastest, strongest computer available. The odds of that generation then leading to the creation of numerous stars and planets, all of whom share the same basic design, lessen the odds even more. Then the creation of at least one of those planets to create the conditions and environment to sustain lifeforms of many different kinds, adds an exponential number to the odds that are beyond the grasp of any human being.
No, the Universe and all that make it up were accomplished by the intelligent design of one who contains a far superior ability to think in a greater fashion than all humans on the earth if all could be combined to become one.___Robert DeLong
Robert,
That was well written.
I read that carefully.
Very helpful points.
Much apprecited.
`
I borrowed from Wikipedia. That’s a good starting place.

Beautiful.
Magnificent.
I like that.

* Can you even be an atheist at age 15?
* Is there any such thing as an atheist?
* I mean really?
* Romans 1:18 -20 says No.
{and explains why}

I'm with ya.
“Id like to see where something
meaningful ever came out of chaos

it. It doesnt just seem to
magically organize itself”
___Familair Face
Yeah, me too.
Good way to phrase it.
“Nucleosynthesis in stars and their explosions later produced the variety of elements and isotopes that we have today, in a process called cosmic chemical evolution.”
What about the rules that allow that to happen? The rules that are so sublimely precise and organized that we were able to unravel them into a nice, tidy “periodic” table and even use what we learned of those rules to predict new elements that nobody saw before? Did those rules randomly pop out of an exploding star too? Or does that perhaps require a bit more intelligent of an explanation?
They can’t. My brother-in-law hates God. So no matter what the evidence, his hate overrides his logic. Pretty sad.
Well, there could be an even more intelligent designer that made the intelligent designer. However, that’s just moving the goalposts. Eventually, the only logical possibility that you are left with is: if there is an intelligent creator, they must be eternal, pre-existing everything else; the only thing in existence that is uncreated. Which, after all, is logical, because if everything is created, then that includes time, so whatever created that must exist outside of time.
“especially not the clutter in my home”
Well, you’re missing the “deep time” part of the equation. You have to not clean for at least a few million years before you can expect all that junk to start self-organizing.
See I can have my moments of seriousness as well. Actually I think my moments of jesting are far and few between. Thanks you for the kind words. 8>)

Add to that all the millions of

Material objects that allow us to
do the world’s work and to relax

produced by non-intelligent

The entire Universe is fine-tuned.
The earth, Sun, and Moon are in the
needed position to one the other,
making life on earth possible.
Romans 1: 18-20 says that all men
know that there is a God because of
what is seen in nature. This is the
germ principle of the Teleological
Argument for the existence of God.
Romans 1:18 says that some men
“suppress” this knowledge.
