Don't know to much about Hagel, I do know that our Borders have been neglected far to long, especially for a country at WAR!

The Eletist have their own agenda that differs greatly from the American People. The so called "New World Order" and World Government that they seem to believe is th ebest for all of us. They have some work to do in convincing the American People to give up their Constitutional Unalienable rights that are derived from GOD! They want our rights to be dictated to us by the Government.

Both parties have their Elietist and the Bush I has referred to the New Word Order on several occasions. When the borders are secured, Walls, fences and control points I might start to believe them, when the Illegals are being deported I'll feel a little better. The the Muslim Problem, I don't believe they will defend the US Constitution against their brother Muslims.

The Dutch want the Muslims thrown out as does Sweden. Germany I believe has started to deport the Muslim Trouble makers. I pray they don't start trouble here, they will find out what a Right Wing Heavily Armed Cowboy is like nothing they have ever seen.

It's good to see these "moderate" RINOs actually coming out to the right of the administration. Every time a Hillary Clinton or a Chuck Hagel complains, it reminds the Wall Street Republicans that they're completely out of touch with the average American citizen.

But even a Hagel or a Clinton are just apologists for amnesty...

HAGEL: Well, mine's a comprehensive immigration reform plan, Kitty. What the president is talking about is, in general terms, with principles.

And what I would do, I would take it much deeper and wider....

In my Bill that I had introduced last year -- we'll introduce again this year -- in terms of real reform across the board. Not just worker visas, but let's try to focus on the 10 to 12 million illegals who are here now, start cataloging them. Where are they? Let's get them into a cycle, into a queue.

If they want to stay and be part of our society, let's find them. That's not amnesty. We're talking about six basic things. We're talking about criminal records. Have they paid their taxes? Have they been here five years? They're going to have to pay a $1,000 fine. Will somebody vouch for them? Are they working now? This is not amnesty.

But yet the good ones, and most of the people here are here for the right reasons, for hope, a better future for themselves, but mainly their families. And they're productive. They're something that's very -- these immigrants, they're very important to our country.

Let's find them. Let's get them into a queue of legality so they can start working toward eventual citizenship or whatever they want, so we can take our resources and focus on the ones who are here to do harm to our country and put a new focus on our border security.
Queue of legality? How about a queue for America to uphold its laws, defend our borders, and protect citizens and the culture of its citizens from outside threats?

A few days ago an articleby a Canadian showed us that they are getting sick of their open border immigration for all policy.

In case you missed it:

Jewish World Review Jan. 20, 2005 / 10 Shevat, 5765

Illegal immigration is a moral issue

By Victor Davis Hanson

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com |

As President Bush's guest worker proposals slog through Congress, new reports suggest that there may be not 8 million, but almost 20 million illegal aliens in the United States, a population larger than most entire states. $400 billion in taxes   —   almost the current annual budget deficit   —   are not collected due to a growing underground cash economy.

Mexico brazenly issued a survival guide for its intrepid citizens on how to cross illegally into the United States. A 2,000 mile border is porous at a time when stealthy terrorists count on such laxity to enter the United States.

The hallowed assimilationist formula has too few overt defenders these days   —   even though measured, legal immigration, English emersion, multiracialism instead of multiculturalism, and integration have ensured that past legal immigrants from Mexico are among America's finest citizens. -snip-

Many of us are concerned about illegal immigration, but I don't know whether this issue can give anyone the nomination in '08. In order to gain our support, an anti-illegal immigration candidate is going to have to propose some strong changes that will greatly offend those who don't understand the danger of illegal immigration. Taking those unpopular stands is likely to lose more votes than it gains. Furthermore, I can't see Senator Hagel taking any truly unpopular stand for very long. He seems to be more of a windsock than a compass.

Agreed.
_________

From a speech by Booker T. Washington, 1895, Atlanta:

"...To those of the white race who look to the incoming of those of foreign birth and strange tongue and habits for the prosperity of the South, were I permitted I would repeat what I say to my own race, "Cast down your bucket where you are." Cast it down among the eight millions of Negroes whose habits you know, whose fidelity and love you have tested in days when to have proved treacherous meant the ruin of your firesides. Cast down your bucket among these people who have, without strikes and labour wars, tilled your fields, cleared your forests, builded your railroads and cities, and brought forth treasures from the bowels of the earth, and helped make possible this magnificent representation of the progress of the South. Casting down your bucket among my people, helping and encouraging them as you are doing on these grounds, and to the education of head, hand and heart, you will find that they will buy your surplus land, make blossom the waste places in your fields, and run your factories..."

This is Tancredo's moment!!!

They say people don't vote on one issue, but I think illegal immigration and could belie that assertion -- open borders is the #1 issue facing all of us -- by a long shot.

Until Mexico reforms itself, we'll continue to have problems.

Mexico will reform itself when we absorb it as a territory.

Gompers, Samuel - (founder and pres. of AFL, an immigrant)

"America must not be overwhelmed. Every effort to enact immigration legislation must expect to meet a number of hostile forces and, in particular, two hostile forces of considerable strength. One of these is composed of corporation employers who desire to employ physical strength (broad backs) at the lowest possible wage and who prefer a rapidly revolving labor supply at low wages to a regular supply of American wage earners at fair wages. The other is composed of racial groups in the United States who oppose all restrictive legislation because they want the doors left open for an influx of their countrymen regardless of the menace to the people of their adopted country."
(Letter to Congress, March 19, 1924)

And yes, I realize he and the president are on the same page, along with George Soros, MALDEF, AARP....and you!

That's President. IMO you and many of the immigrant obsessives on FR are covert democrats.

Look at the list you put up above, Soros, Maldef, AARP. All hate Bush.

It's you with the transparent rhetoric.

Don't know where to look? Try going to Home Depot or Lowe's. How is that for starters!

My wife shops at Home Depot. She is a native-born citizen of Hispanic ancestry. Is she a potential illegal? How do you tell her apart from an illegal? Do we give her and all Americans a National ID card and then be required to show it when demanded so we can tell the illegals apart from the legals and the citizens?

There is no good answer in this debate. We shouldn't pretend otherwise. We've let this problem fester for so long that none of the choices are good. We CAN start with some basic steps - secure the border better and crack down on employers hiring illegals. But when you look to try and devise a means to spot an illegal on the street, realize that you could be setting the stage for a National ID card or other intrusive measures.

Summarizes it nicely.

I didn't know the American Football League went back to 1924.

Uh you were the one who said Bush and soros were on the same page, which is an obvious lie, since Soros spent $70 million to defeat the President.

LOL!! Thanks, with that I am taking a break for a few hours.

Strangely, now the AFL-CIO supports MALDEF. Gompers is rolling in his grave, along with a bunch of other patriots.

I find the thought of "National Identification" to be far less intrusive than being invaded by Mexico.
