From the link you provided.
Immigration officials say anyone who needs more information, or suspects a friend or family member may have been arrested can call 24-hours a day at 1-866-341-3858.
I wonder how many will actually call. Seems like an opportunity for ICE to find more illegals.

Anything in the Southwest and California?
Not a thing here - Bakersfield, Mexifornia. And the illegals here outnumber the legals. It'd be a piece of cake to round up several thousand.

Yea, well McCain is gonna get an earful between now and 11/4!
He's already got the message that we want the borders secured.
And it won't make one bit of difference to him. He heard us loud and clear when McCain-Kennedy was up for a vote in the Senate. There were phone calls, emails, faxes, and bricks overwhelming DC. That didn't stop him from pushing his liberal agenda.
Anyone that thinks once he's voted in that he'll turn 180 degrees and start listening to conservatives will be quite disappointed. He's never done so and won't start once he has the power he wants so desperately. Then he can tell us to go to hell all the moreso. And just watch - he'll be nasty to all the conservatives in Congress that dare to oppose him. (Bush and Rove were pretty bad - but McCain will be that intensified tenfold. He's a much nastier, pettier, and more vindictive person.)

Wow! I mean, I knew about Operation Wetback (can you believe they got away with calling it that?!), but I had no idea of those numbers!
Sadly, you are right that we CAN do this. The problem is we lack the WILL to do this. Partly because liberalism has converted the great American culture from a culture of “can do” to one of “can’t do” with its incessant whining: case in point: Build a fence? You can’t do that!!! You’ll curtail the spotted dirt rat’s habitat!!! You can’t do that, what about all the starving children!!! You can’t do that, it’s not nice!!!
50 years ago, America was a country of limitless possibility in the minds of its citizens and leaders. Today, such optimism and confidence is hard to find. This destruction was wrought by liberals which is why I DESPISE THEM.

As recently as 2004-2005, immigration hawks were persona non grata in neocon circles. In fact, quite a few of them got purged from FR.Free Sabertooth!

CAlifornia has to approach the situation with a little more tact, given there are guys like Joe Coto, Gil Cedillo, Tony Mendoza, Fabian Nunez, hell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc. in charge in Sacramento.
On the street in front of a local Home Depot here the police have set up a large sign citing the law against curbside stopping for the purpose of picking up pedestrians.
I guess thats the best they can do given the political climate here.

Hey, a Hispanic guy named Ceasar Chavez was the first one to use the term wetback on TV. So I don't see anything wrong with us typical white folks using it either.

I keep sending back McCain money appeals with “Enforce our laws—stop illegal immigration” messages. Who knows, it may have some impact now for him to know that he’s losing money and voter support because of his arrogance on this issue...
To: Razz Barry
That’s something they appreciate.
I heard it was coming through a co-worker whose relative is an agent, stationed here in AZ.

I’m not ecstatic about McCain either.
In fact I’ve had to hold my nose every election since RR and vote for the GOP candidate for POTUS.
But like I’ve said many times “It’s a lot easier to turn McCain to the Right than Obama or Clinton.”
At least McCain will not “cut & run” out of Iraq & Afghanistan and he will appoint conservative judges to the courts.

Very true. These raids make news, but are so small they accomplish very little. And I suspect ICE knows they could do better. For those keeping score, there are token raids made.
But it seems the more substantive raids are against competitors of Tyson, or small entities that Tyson and other Klinton buddies want to receive a message.

I was living in Houston when a number of the Vietnamese settled along the coastline around Galveston and Freeport. For a while there was some major grumbling by the native born American shrimpers about the Vietnamese overfishing the Gulf. If I remember correctly the grumbling only lasted one season and that was the last heard about it.

I have heard/read that we have now gotten to the point in our detention facillities and personnel that there is no longer any catch and release.
If you can come up with new information to the contrary, I would like to see it.

I was one of the purged so I am illegal winning on the FR catch and release program..LOL heres a sample of the type of post I was banned for:
the open borders are just another tool to the goal of an American Union and the final goal of NWO..
The USA elites Bush, Clinton, McCain the CFR members on and on have sold out to have a seat of power in the halls of the NWO government..perhaps the 2nd amendment will be suspended with the next SCOTUS ruling then it will be very clear to more of us what the game is about.
