Watching the debate is painful. Why did Herman Caine even show up? The interviewers refuse to even ask him a question. For that matter - I almost forgot Newt was even there.
They are spending all their time setting up a Pawlenty/Bachman slugfest... throwing bones to Romney and Santorum. Of course, Ron Paul manages to make sure he doesn't get ignored.
Update - they finally asked Caine a real question.
Ever hear of PIGFORD?
I think Santorum would hurt the ticket. I would like to see Marco Rubio as the VP candidate.
No. So what?
I like Rubio as VP. I’ve flown that ticket here before.
I liked Santorum tonite & I like his stance on Iran.
Couldn’t he help pull votes from the rust-belt?
Also, wouldn’t you want me to read something besides ‘msndc’ as a first impression if I did not know what you comment you were referring?
I don’t know if anyone noticed this or not,
but it seemed to me like the whole tone of the debate
from the moderators perspective was destructive in nature.
They were not asking questions about what the candidates would do GOOD for the country...
They were asking things that would incite division and infighting... yeah... that debate was all about destroying ALL the republican candidates.
In answer to the question of this thread, I would say
that Cain showed up to watch the other candidates self destruct... and to look for the opportunity to shine when faced with a “gotcha” moment.
Right now, everyone is looking for specific reasons NOT to vote for each candidate.
Cain did not give them any.
I like this from Cain on Perry:Welcome to the contest. From my perspective, it doesnt bother us or my campaign. Thats just one more politician and that makes this business problem solver stand out that much more.
Exactly!
Your word is marked - you gonna mow a lawn or cook dinner for that? heh
I liked Santorum tonight as well. My top three were Bachmann, Cain and Santorum. I thought the panel really tried to shut Santorum out. I think his second question came 45 minutes into the debate! And when his buzzer sounded, they shut him right down — “We have rules!” — but other folks (especially Paul) were allowed to ramble on when their buzzer sounded.
Look, are you saying he didn’t say it? He clearly did, there are plenty of other sources. Keyes is an opportunist who has made a career out of soliciting money for hopeless runs for office. It’s a free country, but when he backed reparations to try to get black support agaisnt Obama, I lost whatever respect for him I once had.
Besides, I think Rubio needs to hold onto his seat in FL.
I am not saying Alan Keyes never stated something about a settlement. I mentioned it would have been a lot cheaper due to the society built by these race baiters.
I asked to see if you had a link to tell me that you knew exactly what Keyes was suggesting, and you gave me a link to MSLSD.
I will spam this thread and leave. (Nice to meet you)

Cain did well. He won’t be the nominee but he’d make a heck of a Senator.
Romney, all he has to do for now is not screw up. Mitt is the reason I like Perry as much as I do.
I prefer Bachmann, I think she helped herself.
I hope Ron Paul stops making people wonder if his progeny might also be crazy, because I really like Rand.
Keyes knew he didn't have a chance.
I thought Keyes was a Libertarian. I don't remember him being for reparations...but I don't keep up with him.
I’d put a ‘hunsky’ on it.
Thought the faux Bachmann/Pawlenty setup was pathetic.
Isn’t that the same suit as well?
She did handle it well, I’d have bitch slapped the little four eyed prick.
