For those who don't want either Romney or Perry, even if you'd never vote for either.
Neither. Both are GOP statists aka big grubment ‘Rat lite.
Yeah, he’s dead, but he’d still do a better job than Perry or Romney.
Cain, Bachman or Palin.
Texas swagger is good! Perry’s religion is good! I love the Texas accent, so much better than a “Yankee” accent.
Are you kidding?PERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Why not just run another Bush if thats as good as we can do?”
An excellent repartee.
Thank you.

..... if Palin does not run but Perry does, he'd probably suck all the air out of the race. Either way, ..... Perry would all be excellent alternatives to Obama the commie. Anyone but RINO Romney the big government chief architect of CommieCare!

Is that old suet pudding still alive?
You could use the same *exact* posts from 6 years ago, and just changed the names from Bush to Perry.
With all due respect to Albert Einstein, insanity is not being able to determine the difference between the three names you just listed.
Obama is a Marxist thug who literally envisions a Soviet style America. Mittens may be a lying, shapeshifting RINO hologram, but at least that image was made in America. Perry has a few weak points, but overall he's a strong conservative. Pro-life, pro-gun, pro-business. There's really nothing in common with any of these names. Can you imagine the difference in Supreme Court justices between these three?
Folks need to dial in the rhetoric and start thinking rationally.
I’ve got news for you. If we don’t get a majority of conservatives in the house and senate in 2012 we are done anyway. The current crop of RINOs like boehner, mccain, graham, etc are dooming us more than another term of obama.

-senior moment....
I was a big Palin fan initially but have cooled. She is all talk lately. If she isn't going to run she should "Just say No."
I thought it was tacky of her to go into the Iowa fair yesterday on her bus and try to steal the lime light. If she wasn't running, she should have stayed away.
I lost respect for her. It made her look like she is now chasing the media.
“Democrats vote for the dead.”

Other way around.
I do think the nominee will probably be one of those two.
When it comes time for the Missouri primary, I will vote for the person I think is the most conservative, competent, and electable (a combination of those factors) of all the candidates remaining. I don't know yet who that will be. That's what the next five months are for.
Romney presents himself very well and can *sound* conservative, but I don't trust him, how he would govern. Surround him with a conservative House and Senate, and he would probably do better than in Massachusetts, but I still don't trust him. I don't know which Romney we would be getting.
Perry, I don't know enough about him yet. One or two little not-so-conservative missteps wouldn't stop me from voting for him. I look at the big picture: economy, federalism, entitlement reform, taxes, spending, defense, etc.
Whether the nominee turns out to be Perry or Romney or just about anyone else vs. Obama, any of them would be preferable to Obama. (If it were Crazy Ron Paul, though, I might just pack up and move to Mars.)
Using that hypothetical, Rick Perry would be the 'least painful'. I don't know a lot about him but from what I do know, Perry is less of a socialist Democrat than Mitt Romney. Hardly high praise for the Texas governor but sans Palin, we'll have to choose the 'lesser of two evils", again, likely with about the same results if Perry won. Bigger government, higher taxes at a slightly slower pace. Unfortunately, if Sarah Palin chooses not to run, Governor Rick Perry may end up being the Republican presidential candidate. And the beat goes on.
People who do not realize this do not realize how dangerous Obama is. The man is the vanguard of current progressive ideology which seeks to diminish or destroy all that America stands for.
If he is re-elected look for his pen running out of ink after signing so many Executive Orders implementing his dreams.
Perry, hand’s down.
Exactly so.
Romney is out of the question. Perry is questionable.
