Republican Senator Mike Lee gave the following speech on the Senate floor regarding the 45th annual March for Life.
Mr. President, today hundreds of thousands of Americans from all walks of life will participate in the 45th annual March for Life.
Why do these citizens march, year after year?
It certainly isn’t for their health … Or for the media coverage.
No, these Americans march on behalf of those who cannot.
They march for uniquely vulnerable members of the human family. For the unborn. For those threatened by abortion. And for the countless innocent lives already lost.
These Americans march to protest the legal regime that sustains abortion.
The cornerstone of that crumbling edifice is Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court case that invented a so-called “right” to abortion in the Constitution, and in so doing stripped the unborn of their right to life.
The principal effect of Roe on our culture has been to cheapen the value of humanity itself.
Roe has insinuated into the law a poisonous notion, the notion that some human beings may be treated as things. As objects to be discarded when they are inconvenient. We’ve seen this before in human history.

I would guess that most of the people on President Trump’s list have very similar views.

Never Trumper Mike Lee has zero chance to be on the Supreme Court. First off he openly opposed Trump and voted for McMillan. Second he is recommended by a Never Trumper Lyn’Ted. Don’t even need to look any further than that.
It isn’t about having only one issue.
It is about prioritizing issues.
The Right to Life supersedes all other issues.

He is a sitting Senator.
We simply can’t risk another repeat of Alabama and a US Senate run by Democrats.
Not only that, POTUS needs to leave sitting Republican Senators in the Senate, where they can contribute to the razor-thin majority. What POTUS did with Sessions was a dumb move (on sooooo many levels). Hope he learned from that debacle.

It’s not going to be hard to find an American judge opposed to baby murder.
We need to dig deeper to avoid an Earl Warren.
He shouldn’t even be on the list!
No one who is publicly anti-abortion can be confirmed by this or any imaginable Senate.
Utah is unlikely to vote in a Dem senator, but Lee is a non-starter. He’s a self-described Evan McMullin voter. Someone who values loyalty as much as Trump isn’t going to give Lee the gig when he has so many other great options.
So big whoop ( not !), he's anti-abortion, but would vote AGAINST everything that Trump and this nation needs and wants, to stab the president AND US, in the back. STOP BEING A ONE AND ONLY ONE ISSUE VOTER!

Hell, look around FR. People came to their senses when the man started being the best president we’ve ever had.
There are those saying that Cruz would be a good pick. And you can’t get anymore nevertrump than the man who ran against him in the primary !
Who you gonna replace him with? Senate. A mittens clone?
