NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland analysed the Hubble Space Telescope's regular 'storm reports' and discovered winds in the 'high-speed ring' on the edge of the storm had increased by eight per cent since 2009.
In contrast, the winds near the red spot's innermost region are moving significantly more slowly, 'like someone cruising lazily on a sunny Sunday afternoon,' said NASA.
The actual changes aren't that much over the 11 years of measurements, working out at an increase of less than 1.6mph per Earth year of observation.
'We're talking about such a small change that if you didn't have eleven years of Hubble data, we wouldn't know it happened,'
Hubble can't see the bottom of the storm very well. Anything below the cloud tops is invisible in the data,

So, the eye of the hurricane is moving slow and the outer edges of the hurricane are moving at 400mph. And its the size of Asia. Sounds like a scifi story needs to be written about scientists using the eye to approach Jupiter.
The hurricane on Jupiter must be Bush’s fault. The Dims taught us years ago that he created Hurricane Katrina and steered it toward New Orleans to maximize minority casualties.
