I agree. He keeps putting words out there that are not Kyle’s words, and I want them to object to the DA pretending to know what he was thinking, etc.
Why did you need a GUN to protect yourself if you were not sure you would need it???
OR - why did you need a gun when there were those guys on the roof?
Sort of like, why would you need a gun when you could always call the police or social workers, if you felt threatened?
I am concerned about the defense being so quiet, but probably they are planning on some detailed and extensive redirect? (is that the right terminology?)

Sorry to hear about your brush with bad side of life - did your cousin assert self defense and win on that basis? That’s the thing - self-defense - that can serve as bar to civil trial too.
Pretty common when self defense (killing) is in the home. Burglars survivors don’t get a right to sue. Not every state has this, so there are cases wehre righteous killer was sued.
This DA is nuts. You carry a gun because you expect somebody is going to attack you. Sure, that’s why police carry guns too.

DA is jousting with Kyle, just hoping for him to say something that is prejudicial to him. Kyle is getting worn down, hesitant answering. DA is winning right now, trying to show to the jury Kyle was prepared for trouble if not asking for it.
He is an idiot but he is undoing all the good defense work. It is all about the makeup of the jury.
He’s also a word that starts with a D, ends with a K and has IC in the middle.
Yep. Direct exam, cross exam, re-direct, re-cross, re-re-cross, and so on.
Supposed to be be no “new material” unless brought up by direct, re-direct (the witness’s lawyer)
The DA is just trying to exhaust the defendant. To wear him down. He will keep this up for HOURS to make his life on the stand so miserable to provoke mistakes.
And I am guessing this DA has a plan to keep up like this for DAYS if he can continue to think of ideas he can put out there as if they are Kyle’s thoughts and reactions, etc.
I just hope he messes up again and gets the judge ticked off again.

Hopefully Kyle has been instructed that he has the right to ask for a break, with the only condition being no break between a question and his answer.
Kyle can break up the rhythm if he wants to.
Especially so young.
