The Democratic debates have been a lackluster auction of government handouts using other people’s money. But the next one proves to be something special as the DNC has decided to drop the ostensibly civilized environment of a debate with the gritty surroundings of the mixed martial arts octagon arena. The headline fight will be between Tulsi Gabbard and Hillary Clinton who has yet to officially declare herself a nominee but who is seriously thinking about losing to Trump in 2020. “We thought that our ratings would be better if we just cut the crap and let these two women duke...

The San Francisco city government has banned business travel for its employees to "certain states" that are not sufficiently pro-abortion, a decision that Rev. Franklin Graham said was based on "the lie that abortion is a woman's right," when, in fact, "abortion is murdering a child in its mother's womb." Last week, San Francisco Mayor London Breed said, “Every day in this country, women’s reproductive rights are threatened, and we have to fight back. Just as we restricted spending with states that have laws that discriminate against LGBTQ people, we are standing up against states that put women’s health at...

Facebook is the latest tech company to try to fix California's housing woes. On Tuesday, the social media giant announced that it would invest $1 billion to spur the construction of 20,000 new housing units in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. "In San Francisco, a family of four making over $100,000 per year is considered low-income," wrote Facebook CFO David Wehner in a blog post, saying that developing new affordable housing required a partnership of "companies, communities, non-profit organizations, and policymakers statewide." The announcement received a glowing endorsement from California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), who said in...

Kamala Harris is an ardent abortion activist — no pro-life voter could be addlepated about that. But Harris wants to make sure Democrat presidential primary voters know she’s staunching in favor of abortion as many babies as possible, right up to birth. Harris is so pro-abortion she just told an audience that killing babies in abortions is something that should be declared “a priority.” Naturally, Harris wrapped this horrific reality in language about so-called “reproductive rights.” Here’s more: “We need to have presidential candidates indicate where they stand on it, and we need to declare it a priority like any...

A new documentary about U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas suggests his conservative stance on abortion may have been behind the efforts to stop his confirmation. Time reports the documentary, “Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words,” largely is based on a recent interview with the conservative justice. In it, he speaks about his faith, his philosophy, politics, race and his early life of poverty. Thomas also talked about his contentious confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate in 1991 and Democratic lawmakers’ focus on abortion. “Most of my opponents on the Judiciary Committee cared about only one thing: how...

Lots of readers have asked me recently about what are the most important stories that I have reported on Ukraine, Joe Biden, the U.S. embassy in Kiev and George Soros. Here is a quick cheat sheet of my columns on Ukraine that have garnered the most attention from my days writing at The Hill, starting with the April 1, 2019 column that started it all. 1.) Joe Biden’s 2020 Ukrainian Nightmare – A Closed Probe Is Revived Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about...

The CIA, NSA, DNI and FBI were compromised. It was actually these corrupt pieces of the U.S. apparatus of State that led the coup and solicited foreign nations to play a role, so this was a wise—but completely unexpected – move by Trump. That’s his specialty, and that is what will save him.

The suicide rate among children aged 10 through 14 has nearly tripled from 2007 to 2017, while the suicide rate among older teenagers has increased by 76 percent between 2007 and 2017, new federal data show. According to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics, the suicide rate among 10 through 24-year-olds has increased 56 percent over the last decade as violent deaths (suicide and homicide) continue to be leading causes of death for that age bracket. When Russia investigation Special Counsel Robert Mueller finally testified this summer, one of the few substantive revelations he made about something not specifically addressed in his final report involved a long-pedaled allegation that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had a secret communications network through a computer server at Russia’s Alfa Bank. “I believe it’s not true,” Mueller testified when questioned by Republican Rep. Will Hurd of Texas, confirming in public what FBI officials had privately told me and other reporters going back to late 2016. We now have strong evidence that one of the events that gave life to that...

Text messages released weeks ago showed that Bill Taylor believed the Trump administration was conditioning the release of military aid to Ukraine on a Ukrainian investigation of Trump’s political opponents. Yesterday, in testimony before Congress, Taylor described the events that caused him to believe this.If Taylor is telling the truth, he had a sound basis for believing that, for a while, there was a quid pro quo relationship between the release of aid and an investigation by Ukraine of the Bidens. He testified about a conversation with a National Security Council official who informed him that Gordon Sondland, our...
