Ukrainian parliament member Kira Rudik said the quiet part out loud when she joined Fox News on Sunday to provide an update about the ongoing advance on Kyiv by Russian forces. During the interview, Rudik detailed the efforts Ukrainians are making to defend against Putin’s invasion, highlighting how countless civilians have “taken up arms” and are standing at the ready – including herself. In response to the host asking if she was “surprised” to see Ukrainians displaying such strong will to fight back against Russia, Rudik explained: “I’m not surprised. We have been fighting Putin for the last 8 years...

Earlier this month, I wrote about “Operation Chaos: South Carolina Republicans Urge Voters to Cast Dem Primary Vote for Bernie.” The South Carolina primary takes place on Saturday, February 29th, and it looks like the movement is gaining some steam. As I noted in that post, the strategy is intended to prove to South Carolina Democrats that open primaries are ripe for abuse by the opposing party’s voters skewing the results.

"President Donald Trump’s second address to the United Nations reiterated the same point he made last year: His America is a sovereign one, and every nation is on its own. “America is governed by Americans,” he said to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday in one his highest-profile speeches of the year. “We reject the ideology of globalism and accept the doctrine of patriotism.” He also used the opportunity to breeze through America’s national security concerns, such as nuclear talks with North Korea, tensions with Iran, and his trade war with China. But the speech amounted to little more than...

As the false song of globalism continues to play, the audience grows wary. The instruments, out of tune. The notes, flat. Played with such lackluster, how ever will they capture the hearts of man? "Alas! The Crescendo!" the Composer discerns, waving his arms. It's louder now, faster... He fears it his last attempt. But what of the sound? He waves the percussion down, "too much," he screams in his head. Though it gets louder. "You fools!" he screams, still waving his arms-frantically now, with no touch, "You'll ruin it all!" But he sees now, that indeed, his snare, his bass,...

In this sixth year of the 21st century, one might argue that the American unipolar moment has ended, or that unipolarity has been revealed to be not at all identical with omnipotence. In either case, many Americans now feel less safe than they did ten years ago. The anxiety has many sources, all of them with an international component. There are the continuing wars in Central Asia and the Middle East, the ever more alarming terrorist threats, the relative decline of US manufacturing, the uncontrollable fluctuations in petroleum prices, the demographic transformation arising from Latin American immigration; and, an as...

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen has stated today (Wednesday) that applying quota on certain Chinese products is essential for protection of the Turkish domestic economy. Participating in a press conference after a meeting with the World Trade Organization, Tuzmen told reporters that the Chinese authorities have requested from Turkey to find joint solutions and compromise on certain aspects of the economy. ''The steps taken by Turkey about quotas on Chinese products are identical to those taken by the United States,'' remarked Tuzmen. ''The products of the textile and ready-to-wear industries have a prominent place within our economy....

Billionaire mounting anti-Bush effort RESTON, Va., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Billionaire George Soros reportedly is putting together a $10 million warchest to prevent U.S. President George Bush from winning a second term. Soros, who in 1992 made $1 billion in a single day through currency speculation that drove down the British pound, along with a group of philanthropists and trade unions, is mounting a campaign to unseat Bush for what he sees as the administration's misuse of power, Canada's National Post reported. "You passed the U.S.A. Patriot Act without proper discussion," Soros said in a recent interview with PBS. "Anyone...

I'd planned on writing a fairly mocking narrative of my day as an anti-globalization protester. And, in fact, there were some humorous moments -- there's lots about these morons that's worth mocking. But I gotta' say, for the most part, the experience gave me a wrenching stomachache. And had I stayed much longer, there'd probably be other body parts hurting, too, because it was all I can do to bite my tongue, and not jump headfirst into the fray. I got to Dupont Circle at about 10:30am. I was to meet a friend there before heading over to the IMF...
