demands that non-science like ID be taught

I reject the premise that ID is non-science.

Some 'scientists' you guys are, huh?...you know, the 'priests' who claim that their so-called science is objective...."above it all"....PFAH!

    I thought scientists were curious?
Take the science of nutrition, for example....
Why would it not stir the so-called scientist's curiosity that the original diet 'prescribed' to Adam & Eve was vegetarian?
...and we now know that vegetarians live an average of what? 6 or 7 years longer than meat-eaters?

And what about Leviticus 11? All that stuff about clean/unclean meat?
Doesn't that seem at least a little.....interesting...at least, to all the "Mr. Sciences" out there?....given what we now know about toxins in certain flesh?

And what about history? How could Daniel accurately describe the sequence of Babylonia - MedoPersia - Greece - Rome.....(Nebuchadnezzar's dream) hundreds of years before these kingdoms came to be?

You guys must believe that the Bible was written by a most astute group of historians & writers...who somehow managed to remain anonymous for centuries!

You can believe that if you want....but it sure ain't scientific!

    Why has it gone "cold"?

Because the Bushies did it to ramp up support for the Patriot Act, (which illegally removes our basic civil rights), in preparation for a right-wing, fascist takeover.

I'm not kidding, I actually overheard this conversation. Leftists really believe this.

    No wonder they're losing.

Voltaire's quote floats around FR alot. It also applies to eschatological events. Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Why is this not clear?....the dead in Christ shall rise....then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air....

The confusing thing to me is; why is there a "personal conviction" about something that is clearly stated...the "meeting in the air"....

Consider; Ecclesiastes 9:5 ....the dead know not anything....the memory of them (that is, the dead's memory) is forgotten. and
Ecclesiastes 9:10 ....for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave whither thou goest.
1Thessalonians confirms all this, saying ....concerning them which are asleep....even so them also which sleep in Jesus....shall not precede them which are asleep.

Why do so many follow the fables of men, and ignore the plain statements of the Bible -and still claim to be "followers"?

The "spirits of the dead" (demons) will deceive most of the world. Note the first thing Jesus tells the disciples when they asked him about the signs of His Coming in Matt. 24 Take heed that no man deceive you. In truth, check out how many times Jesus uses the derivatives of "deceive" in Matt. 24.

Guy throws in "the millennium", and "7 years" alot too. Like he's got all that settled as well....I suppose more "personal conviction" stuff.

Why not study the Bible? The world, before Jesus returns, will be one of religious, not secular persecution! Rev 12: 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, (the true, remnant church) and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God.... and Rev. 14; 12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are they which keep the commandments of God....

Most "Christians" don't even know the 10 Commandments. You think the Bible is wrong? I don't.

That series of pics is another good example of outed manipulating, but again, I'm just saying that this technology sounds fairly seamless, being changed - not 'manually' per se, but by programs, at the pixel level.

My previous post adresses the work you (as one, for example) do. My thanks.

Somewhere around here is a pic of a Pali youth throwing a rock. When the other, panned-back pic appears, he's surrounded by photogs.
Yes. I credit Free Republic with 'outing' the media maipulation. We see it all the time. The people here are like front line troops, totally grassroots, dedicated to exposing the lies, fraud, corruption.

But this stuff is manipulation on steroids.

I suppose we can 'assume' there'll be technological developments to detect it, actually, I think I'm going to pray there is. But the article is a little vague on the details of what exact form the "vigilance" it advises will take.

You BET that word comes to mind. Is this the 'nucular' bomb of digital information?

....how this can be used just boggles the mind.

This will end up killing the use of video or pictures as evidence in a court of law.

Oh yeah, the other thing that got me was the guy saying we don't have to worry @ it being used for nefarious purposes; 1. because the (news)organizations wouldn't want to risk their credibility if they were 'outed' using it, (insert clever FReeper line here) and 2. there'll be more "vigilance"....& I'm thinking...well, there BETTER be!

Well, they've been "blue screening" stuff on TV live for decades.

Not a tech person, but I think this technology would make bluescreening rather like claymation.

Apologies if this has already been posted. It is an older article, and I searched the title....

I'd imagine the technogeniuses we got around here already know this....the article, though somewhat long, speculates on the "CNN effect", which is interesting and frightening at the same time.

That article, @ pixels, deserves its own thread. The technology has the potential to do great harm as well as good. Plus, I'm thinking it will make photo'chopping' - I like that - similar to old 8 track tapes.

Thanks for the link. The ramifications re: the "CNN effect" are quite chilling.
