This time, due to outrage over comments by the city’s Public Safety Commissioner, Jim Montagnino, surrounding a Restorative Justice resolution being voted on. This resolution acknowledges and apologizes for the city’s past racial injustices and, also, creates a Restorative Justice panel tasked with looking at the city’s race relations and what can be done to improve that. BLM made it clear to council members that restorative justice to them comes with dropping the charges against the three individuals charged.

Ronna McDaniel, the RNC’s leader since 2017, told CNN in an interview Sunday that even though the debate criteria have not yet been released, the loyalty pledge should nevertheless be a “no-brainer” for the party’s presidential hopefuls. “If you’re going to be on the Republican National Committee debate stage asking voters to support you, you should say, ‘I’m going to support the voters and who they choose as...

Sen. Dianne Feinstein emerged from the Senate chamber on Wednesday seemingly confused about what she had done during a two-vote series. "Did I vote for that?" Insider overheard the California Democrat ask her long-time chief of staff, David Grannis, about approving a judicial nominee to the federal bench. Grannis, who had just finished explaining to his 89-year-old boss that the six Senate votes scheduled throughout the day would be on Biden appointees, shook his head and said, "No." The most jarring part about the public episode was that Grannis was trying to map out what Feinstein — whose cognitive ability...
