It's been almost a week since the de-lection, and various posts have popped up showing unrealistic numbers for NObama in Virginia, Florida and Ohio. We all know massive voter fraud was in play in this election - the Chicago way. Question: Can Romney pull his concession speech based on the data from polling centers? Can he ask for a recount? And if he could...would he?

Sorry for the vanity...my hubby's laptop went kaput the other day. Simply won't boot. Black screen, cursor at top blinks. It's a Toshiba, with very few gizmos added on. I have about five laptops in various states of disrepair, but none of them are hard drive issues. Can I swap out a hard drive and get him going again? I'm tired of him using mine.

I'm sorry for the vanity. A month ago I purchased a Phalaenopsis orchid for my new breakfast nook table. It was an impulse purchase, and I've since impulsively purchased another orchid. Now I'm wondering how to keep them healthy, because they're so beautiful. I'd also like to purchase more, but I'm afraid I'll kill them. Are there any orchid growers in the house?

Sorry for the vanity, but I have heard from several family members in Oklahoma. They say there was another after-shock measuring 5.7 around an hour ago. Has anyone heard this yet? I can't find any news on it. I'm now wondering whether this swarm is made up of fore-shocks, since, if this latest one is verified, they keep getting larger.

The DHS report warning of domestic terrorists profiles a certain type of person who could be defined as a right-wing extremist. Well, I'll make it easy for them: I am melissa_in_ga. I live in Suwanee, Georgia. I am the stay at home mother of 4 (two sons in college, two daughters in high school). I am involved in my children's activities and, at least with my daughters, know where they are and what they are doing at all times. I believe in God. I am a conservative Catholic and attend Mass at a conservative parish near my home. I am...

After NObama's win last night, what happens to the COLB litigations and the ACORN investigations around the country? Do they just go away, or is it possible that these will continue on and possibly disqualify him before inauguration day? Also, did I read somewhere here about 24 electors challenging his eligibility? I'm befuddled, dazed and devastated this morning, and would appreciate some schooling. Thanks.

I'm trying to ignore the polls, since they are weighted toward Dems, but I saw the Gallup poll notice on Drudge last night and checked Intrade both last night and about 6:00 a.m. this morning. Obama still up. But now at 12:30, it's showing Obama down .4 and McCain up .7. Last night my hubby told me to s-l-o-w-l-y step away from the computer. I need a life.

A while back, Mr. melissa_in_ga and I decided to put some shelving in our basement and start a stockpile of food for hard times. We never got around to it until today. Bought the shelving at Lowe's on the cheap, and scoured the Publix and Kroger circulars for deals, made a list and headed out. After marveling at the huge lines wrapping around the Kroger gas station and onto Peachtree Parkway (we found a station and filled our tanks yesterday, thank goodness), I went into the store. Folks, I was amazed at the number of people in both Kroger and...

I generally use the convenient setting on my account, which keeps me logged in until I log out. Lately, though, everytime I close my browser I have to log in again. Is this a function of the new FR? Or have my kids messed with something on my computer (likely). Thanks for any help!

My Step-Dad went through a nasty bout of oral cancer that was diagnosed in October 2006. He went through a clinical trial at Emory University involving surgery, heavy chemo and 52 doses of radiation. In October, 2007, after many PET scans, endoscopies, x-rays, blood work, etc., they found nothing. He had a visit with his oncologist 3 weeks ago to repeat all the above tests and nothing was found. Two days ago, doing a routine oral self-check he discovered a hard lesion on the back of his throat. This has been devastating to our family, because Emory has informed him...

First actual thread post; hope this is okay. Mods, please move and/or delete as appropriate. For those that are interested and still haven't hit the election booth yet, Mr. Melissa_in_ga just told me that Hunter and Thompson are still on the ballots in Georgia. I've done a lot of soul-searching since January 19th. I've said I'd vote my conscience in the primary, and vote for the Republican nominee in the general. My first instinct is to vote for Hunter, since he's still on the ballot and is my first choice for president. However, at this point, my vote is going...
