So long, John Philip Sousa. Hello, Kenny G. That was the short-lived message House leadership sent to lawmakers over the break, as the "on-hold" music that so many constituents hear when they call their congressman was switched from patriotic tunes to smooth jazz standards -- or, as one lawmaker complained, "elevator music." The switch was quickly reversed, though, following complaints and controversy. A spokesman for House Chief Administrative Officer Daniel Beard, who reports to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, said Tuesday that after a three-week trial period constituents will once again hear patriotic favorites while on hold. "The music was changed...

If you’ve ever been stuck on hold with a congressional office in the past, at least you’ve been able to enjoy some good patriotic music, as opposed to the lilting tones of generic smooth jazz that have been driving elevator users insane for decades. For years, congressional offices have played patriotic anthems as the background music during hold times. Not any more. After we were startled by the hold music when we called a House office recently, sources on Capitol Hill informed us this week that the Democratic House leadership has made a sweeping decision that congressional offices now have...

Let's post music related to our Forefathers declaring Independence from the British crown. I'll start off with something by an American metal band called Iced Earth (the music is kinda boring though). Declaration Day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_LDDnV735o

Can anyone recommend some websites where I can download free patriotic music for the 4th? I'm guessing Susa, military marches, themes of the armed forces, that kind of thing?

At a tea party in Lakewood Ranch Florida, I invited all veterans to join me on stage as I sang “God Bless the USA” in tribute to them. It was truly a moving experience. Veterans, old, young and active service men and women came forward. The audience applauded wildly expressing their love for them. Such tributes NEVER happen at left wing secular progressive events. Their goal is ALWAYS about tearing down America, as opposed to Celebrating America, which I do in my original song, “Celebrate America”. Regarding the “hyphenated American issue”. I begin every rally/tea party with, “I am NOT...

My music producer Frank Starchak is a genius. I've challenged him to do something never before done on a commercial song recording. However, I feel it is necessary to evoke the emotion and magnitude of the tea party movement. As he's done numerous times in the past, Frank has risen to the occasion. He just played me the rough mix today. Folks, it gave me GOOSEBUMPS on GOOSEBUMPS! Tomorrow, I will perform my lead vocal. The national release date is JUNE 23rd. Can't wait for y'all to hear it. All the best, Lloyd Lloyd Marcus Singer/Songwriter of the American Tea...

American Tea Party Anthem (with words) by Lloyd Marcus LYRICS: Mr President! Your stimulus is sure to bust Its just a socialistic scheme The only thing it will do Is kill the American Dream You wanna take from achievers Somehow you think that's fair. And redistribute to those folks Who won't get out of their easy chair. We're havin' a tea party across this land If you love this country Come on and join our band We're standin' up for freedom and liberty Cause patriots have shown us freedom ain't free So when they call you a racist cause you...

Ted Nugent speaks off and on during this outstanding Tea Party at The Alamo. His guitar work is as amazing as his conservative views. His riffs while other things are going on, and around other speakers communicates sometimes better than words can.

Well, I'm sure the Department of Homeland Security is busy monitoring Freepers' purchases, including tunes we buy from Amazon or download on our Ipods. So to save them the trouble, I've compiled the top 10 songs that would indicate a predilection towards right wing anti-nanny state, anti-commie, anti-politically correct, anti-tax or anti-politician activism. 10. Mexican Blackbird - ZZ Top. The boys from Texas are just redneck racists, and this one proves it. Now drive that old Chrysler to Mexico, boy. 9. Courtesy of the Red White and Blue - Toby Keith. Not only jingoistic, but anti-muslim. Just ask the Dixie...
