The Stein Report has learned that Florida Governor Jeb Bush today endorsed granting driver's licenses to illegal aliens. Bush's position comes despite the fact that several of the Sept. 11 hijackers used Florida driver's licenses, and driver's license security remains a pressing issue nationwide. Bush reportely commented that illegal immigrants should be kept out of the country, but once they are here they shouldn't be ignored.

I can read well enough to know that you don't want to solve the illegal immigration problem in the U.S. and your only interest in the debate is to smear anyone opposed to illegal immigration as racist, when indeed, you are the racist.

Yes they were, but what does that have to do with the fact (look up that word if you need to Joe) that the majority of the hijackers were here legally at the time that their driver's licenses were issued?
Would you not issue driver's licenses to any legal alien on US soil?
Let's say that a British firm sends a guy to work here for a year, should he get a driver's license Joe?
How about if a French family sends theur kid here to go to school?
No driver's license for the kid either?
Or do you have a way not to issue driver's licenses to those people here legally who will overstay their visa?
Tell me Joe, amaze me with your intellect and tell me how the hell the State can know that the guy applying for a driver's license, and presenting documents to show that he is here legally, will at some point in the future overstay his visa and become an illegal alien?

I didn't miss anything. We aren't talking about insurance. Obviously you are not "getting" it.
I used the insurance example to help you snap out of your irrational responses.
I hope that later you will re-read your comments and understand the difference between a driver's license to a foreign student and a driver's license to an illegal alien.

I support less government interference with business, and I do not believe in protectionist tariffs. I don't have a problem with tariffs, as long as they're used to pay for the process of inspecting inbound merchandise. I believe that less government is better, and that individualism is better than collectivism. That makes me a communist I guess. You believe in the redistribution of wealth in order to pay for the prescription drugs of your compatriots. That's what makes you a commie.

Jeb really doesn't want his brother to win Florida or get reelected, IMHO.I'll tell you, people better wake up to this open border, global bull sh*t.
They are selling us out to this epic wholesale lawlessness.
They don't ever try to hide it now. Sheesh.
Their their agenda is clear as a bell.
If this were clinton's buddys doing this, the Republican's would be OUTRAGED!

"I can read well enough to know that you don't want to solve the illegal immigration problem in the U.S."Oh really?
Well, you obviously can't.

I don't have a problem with calling a spade a spade...you seem to be all caught up in some bizarro PC world where people who expose racists are racists themselves.

Luis, I understood your point very well, but I see posters giving emotional responses after certain hot buttons are pushed by a demagogue or sloppy writer.
A foreign student can obtain a legal driver's license, and he can still become an illegal alien in the future.
On the other hand, a person who has always been an illegal alien may never get a legal driver's license.
To: Joe Hadenuf
Yes I am Joey, in spite of the fact that I disagree with Jeb on this issue.
I am not one-dimensional.

NO, they were not illegal aliens at the time their licenses were issued. They had students visas, and were issued licenses based on the fact that while they were here, they had to drive. Now, what does the fact that the hijackers had driver's licenses, issued to them prior to their becoming illegal aliens, have to do with Jeb Bush (allegedly) saying that illegal aliens should be able to get driver's licenses Joe?Bush's plan would make it even easier for terrorists to get driver's licenses thatn it already is.

I'm sorry, I was agreeing with you in the heat of the argument, and I came off wrong.
But yes, that's the point, and the "author" was disingenuous in his mention of the hijackers...he did it in order to elicit an emotional response.

Bush supports illegal alien criminals but everyone against is a racist! LOL! The painful sickening truth is, if clinton supported this, the Republicans would be on fire with anger.

And Bush's plan is wrong...said it more than once on this thread already.
But Bush's plan, and the fact that the hijackers had driver's licenses are not connected in any way because the hijackers were not illegal aliens at the time they were issued the licenses.
I thought you could read?

"...but once they are here they shouldn't be ignored."
Right. Once they are here they should be identified and deported.
Two Bushes in the White House are enough thank you, Jeb. America doesn't believe in dynasties. Maybe Jeb's son might make a good candidate sometime in the future, but all Jeb needs to do right now is deliver Florida - hopefully in better shape than he delivered it in 2000.
