Can You Help America?

Can You Help America?

Are you willing to give five minutes or more of your time to think about a solution to a very costly problem that exists in every State in the Union?

If you listen to Rush Limbaugh on TV or on his radio show, you will hear him discuss how dumb and ineffective Democrats can be. He has been saying that the Democrats are only good at whining about problems, not at fixing problems. Rush says the Republicans are the only party that actually fixes problems. Do you believe this? FreeRepublic.com is overflowing with Republicans isn't it? I propose that the Republican FReepers attempt to find a solution to this major problem and demonstrate to America just how effective Republicans (and FReepers) can be.

In the early 1960s, approximately 62,000 illegal aliens came across the Mexican border, and the INS considered this notable and worthy of action. Now, in the first decade of the 21st Century, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enter the United States across the Mexican border each year and the INS declares the problem too big to tackle because nothings stems the tide. Federal immigration laws state that sneaking into America without going through the INS Border Patrol stations is illegal. Hiring an illegal alien is illegal. Sheltering an illegal alien is illegal. And keeping knowledge from law enforcement as to the whereabouts of an illegal alien is illegal. With Agenda 21, the politicians are looking at every way possible to give those who break these laws a pass by granting amnesty and American citizenship to illegal immigrants. Agenda 21 means effectively removing the borders between Mexico and the US. NAFTA just opened our roads to tractor trailers from Mexico. This situation will become much worse.

This problem has been ignored in just about every city and county in America while costing exorbitant amounts of taxpayer dollars, spent on social welfare and the education of illegal aliens. Ignoring this problem also comes with the cost of an increasing crime rate resulting in too many American citizens being victims at the hands of illegal aliens. Governments at all levels, federal, state and local are not protecting America's federal nor State sovereignty,. nor are they protecting American citizens.

Why should you and I support a federal lawbreaker in our State? So an incumbent politician can get reelected with their illegal vote? I don't think so!

Matricula consular identification cards are solid identification of an illegal allien. If you can't show a birth certificate, a Visa or a green card then you are an illegal alien who has broken our immigration laws. They must leave America and reenter within our laws. We shouldn't have to amend our laws to accommidate lawbreakers! What example does that set for those who are attempting to enter America legally? Much more important: What example does this give our children? That breaking the law can be a rewarding act? If our immigration laws carry no penalty for being broken, why should bank robbery, or molesting children be punished? Do we make our laws for them to be ignored by aliens and politicians? Is a vote more precious than our standards and ideals? Our politicians must believe so, judging from their responses.

The words "protect the people" are found in virtually every Oath of Office taken by elected and appointed officials in the US, including the police chiefs, mayors, county sheriffs, state legislators, governors, congressional representatives, and senators. Sadly, not one of these officials on the public dole is taking their Oath of Office seriously when it comes to the issue of illegal immigration.

The Supreme Court of the United States has wisely ruled that the Feds cannot force state, county or city law enforcement officers to enforce federal laws (including immigration laws), and our local and state officials use this as an excuse to turn their heads on the problem of illegal immigration while our communities slide steadily downhill. Government officials continue to demand higher taxes to keep the illegal immigration problems under "control" yet we can only sit back in wonderment as they pay lip service to the problem while actually enacting legislation and policies that encourage people to emigrate to the US illegally with promises of social welfare and education benefits.

Being an American is a primarily a state of mind for all of us - being a proud American is based on the idea of freedom and self-reliance. We are all immigrants from one country or another, and we (or our forebears) became Americans by consciously subscribing to these ideas. We came here legally, we obey the laws and we promote the idea that others obey the laws in the same way. Are we supposed to sit and wait while the political class comes up with the politically correct so-called solutions that fail to keep America strong and our families safe?

How many foreign college students choose each year to stay in America rather than obey the conditions upon which they entered America? How many older vistors choose to stay at the end of their vacations? How many deported criminal aliens return using a different name? How many Muslims are in America illegally studing our open way of life, just waiting for an opportunity to repeat 9/11? I am sure we have illegal aliens from every country in this world enjoying the American lifestyle, helping to bring us down to a third world power. We aren't too far from becoming the country that these people left. The American culture can only absorb so many new residents each year without radical changes. We have passed that number. We must act now before the policical leaders offer them amnesty and permanently defeat our way of life. The time has come to stand up and fight for what we believe in. The Constitution will become wastepaper. The Bill of Rights will become a memory. Our flag will become a symbol of defeat.

If you have listened to Rush, you know the truth of his broadcasts. If you haven't listened to him, here's an opportunity for you to show how good FReeper Republicans can be at finding solutions to our nationwide illegal immigration problems.

So tell us, what should be done to fix the problems of illegal immigration in your community?

#1. Should we acquiesce and allow the illegal immigration to continue while waiting for the elected officials to address the problem in a substantive way?

#2. Should we wait for Federal legislators to compromise our security and way of life by resolving the problem in a manner that is politically correct and acceptable to every nation in the world?

#3. If we continue to send snail mail and email letters to your local and State leaders. Will the roar be ever loud enough to be heard in the highest offices? What will their response be? Submition to illegal immigrants who want to change America forever?

#4. Should we wait until you fly off the handle and lash out at an illegal alien, surely resulting in legal problems that will further harm your family and ruin your life's ambition to be a good and loyal American citizen?

#5. Should you ignore the illegal immigration problem and hope it will go away before it gets much worse?

What should YOU do?
What should WE do?

It is time to stand together to correct this problem. You are the leader in your family. Your kids look to you to protect them. If you don't help us now, will your children be able to look at you with pride or shame in five years. It's your freedom and your way of life that is up for grabs.

It's your choice, you decide what to do before it is too late.

.

.

The new way of life

I should have followed them around the store to see how they paid :-). But I didn't. You have to have cash to eat at that buffet.

"I should have followed them around the store to see how they paid :-)."

The only way to see how they paid was to follow them in the check out line. But that misses the issue. Where did the money come from in the first place?

Government printing presses. If they were here legally, they may have worked hard and earned it.

You made six statements that are blatently wrong. Statesmen do not advocate killing. They play the good guy role.

Powell had nothing at all to do with troop deployments in Afganistan.

We did not use a large number because the Afgan locals would have viewed it as a invasion and not a liberation. They would have fought us. A nice PR stunt that would have been.

We were after Alqada, not the Taliban. Binn laden is dead. 50% of the names we were looking for are dead or captured. More every week.

Saddam was left in power because Bush #1 did not think it was necessary to take him out. He was wrong! Not this Bush! This time around, even Powell is on board.

Powell will always appear to be more of a pacifist when on the national stage. That is what a Statesman does. Henry Kissinger got the same rap, as have others like Halfbright and the rest.

Wrong. The money comes from your wallet and mine. We get the shit taxed out of us. And we don't recieve much for it. If you think about it you will admit I'm correct.

Only if they are getting government bennies. If they work and earn it, they are contributing to the tax base.

You asked for my help? Maybe you'll want my opinion first.

My view: let 'em in.

Two reasons:

1. This country was built entirely on immigrants. This country is great because people came here willing to work, to exercise their freedoms in the pursuit of whatever they wanted (money, fame, peace, whatever). There is still lots of room in this country (if you disagree, you haven't driven across it). Most "illegal immigrants" come here to work, to support their families (left behind mostly because the rest can't be snuck in), and to get ahead - that's what built this country, and that's what this country still needs.

2. Those immigrants who come here to freeload do so precisely because a bunch of anti-Constitution socialists are confiscating half my income (and that of most legit workers) to give to people who find it easier to get welfare than a wage. The problem isn't the immigrants, it's the creeps who will fine, jail, and/or kill any legit worker who does not hand over half their paycheck.

You want "help"? Eliminate welfare, eliminate the minimum wage, and watch this country grow out of its stagnation.
You insist on border checks? Make sure immigrants aren't criminals and don't have a nasty disease, then give 'em a one-way bus ticket to a random city or town.

That's my solution.

Ok. I got another movement in action. This is a complete reverse of what normal political movements are. The plan is SATIRE. Our goal, to get people laughing at the sheer idiocy of what is going on, both regarding border safety and Poindexter's new snoop system.

Do I agree w/ Rush that "Republicans are the only Party that actually fixes problems"? ABSOLUTELY NOT--& in fact, they are contributing to making problems worse, depending on which problem is being discussed.....they are in cahoots w/ the socialist Democrats in their effort to undermine the security of the American people & patrol our borders. The GOP leadership has no intention of limiting the federal government to its Constitutionally-mandated limits, & is itself GUILTY of increasing the unconstitutional Welfare/Police State. I appreciate & respect Rush's attack on liberals, but he is nothing but a neo-conservative GOP Party hack who thinks that Republican rule is better for America than CONSTITUTIONAL rule.

I agree with much of what you say. Another thing that can be done is to get yourself or like minded people elected to state offices.

Running for a state senate seat or state assembly seat can be done rather easily. yes, winning will take a lot of work but not a whole lot of money.

First thing to do is to identify a party seat. That is a seat which will be a Dem seat or a Republican seat no matter who runs. Check your state election laws and find out how to get on a primary ballot. In both NY and CO, these primaries are won with only 2000-4000 votes being cast among all candidates.

Go out and work that district. Remember, you only need to get 2000 votes tops. Identify people who support what you believe. It can be immigration, but also add gun rights, property rights, abortion, outdoorsmen, whoever. Contact them fairly regularly between now and primary day. Get other people who agree with you to run in other districts.

Getting four or five new assemblymen or senators who have an agenda can force the issue into the politicians face and make them take a stand. Remember to choose seats where winning the primary is tantamount to winning the general election, and don't let party affiliation get in your way. Run as a Dem if it's a Dem seat. Run as a Republican if it is their seat.

You can find this out through the Board of elections. If the winner of a race had no opposition or blew the other party out of the water, that's a targeted race. So few people pay attention to these positions but they have a much more direct affect on our lives that federal office holders. Go for it. I'm looking at a race in Denver. Hopefully it will go well in 2004.

"There is still lots of room in this country (if you disagree, you haven't driven across it)."

I agree. We should give illegal immigrants squatting rights in national and state parks. That is demand # 8 in my proposal to help with the insanity:

Aide the Illegal Immigrants! Win their votes! Ban Privacy. Ban Cash! Ban clothing!

"Only if they are getting government bennies. If they work and earn it, they are contributing to the tax base."

That's the illusion. Because they are here illegalley they don't pay taxes. Guess who pays the difference? This isn't a trick question.

They pay taxes unless they work off the books. Not all of them are here illegally, although a considerable number of them are. Many around here married Americans to get citizenship and seem to be doing fairly well.

Statesmen do not advocate killing. They play the good guy role.

Blatently wrong. Churchill should be rolling over in his grave right now. What about generals. Powell was a pussy when he was a general too. He hasn't changed.

We did not use a large number because the Afgan locals would have viewed it as a invasion and not a liberation.

Oh no ! we wouldn't want the enemy to think that we are invading !!! parish the thought !!

They would have fought us.

Ok ; now that is getting rediculous. What the %&#$ do you think that we have a military for ? If we are affraid to fight when we are attacked , we might as well disband the military.

A nice PR stunt that would have been.

It wasn't suposed to be a PR stunt !!!!!!!!! We were suposed to be killing the enemy like GW said we would do. Unfortunately for the USA it didn't turn out to be much more than a PR stunt. It will come back to haunt us in the future just like letting Sadam go the first time did only it will probably turn out even worse.

We were after Alqada, not the Taliban

The differences between Alq and the hard core taliban are negligable. They are both the enemy just like Bush said they were. There were a minimum of 15,000 hard core enemy troops that swore and swear to devote their lives to killing Americans. We let more than 90% of them go ..... intentionally .... for political reasons. It was a PR stunt , not a war. That is the problem. Colin Powellitis is a desaese.

This time around, even Powell is on board.

Not occording to powell. he has stated numerous times that he doesn't think that it is necessary to kill Sadam or even remove him from power just get rid of the WOMD , Like the French. It's easier. Consumate politicians do what is easiest for them at the moment not what is best for the nation in the long run.

Maybe powell the fall guy in the admin and is looking like the pussy so that Bush can look touph. You may have a point there.
