I cannot find any certification that Obama ever passed the bar. Can someone point me to such a verifiable reference? Thanks.

If he couldn’t pass the bar exam, and was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review, then we know it was an Affirmative Action deal.
Here’s the thing about Barack. He is international, he is just black enough to be “black”, he is reasonably intellegent, and he knows how to give good BS. He makes stupid white liberals feel good about not being racist, even though he isn’t real on substance. The term “Empty Suit” so fits him, it’s amazing to me.

His position was "Lecturer," not "Professor" (of one type or another). Lecturers are not expected to publish. What is more remarkable is that he never authored a Law Review article while at Harvard.

What does “Voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law” mean? Both were admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court.
It could be in New York, as that’s where Kellman went to get him to be a community organizer for Chicago. Obama claimed this week at a meeting that he taught Constitutional Law. And at one point he worked for the same law firm in Chicago as Michelle Obama. So Illinois should be the place he has lilcense to practice law, even if he had passed the bar in NY.
They say he practiced law with a “civil rights law firm.” He had to be a member of the bar to do that. If he passed the bar and is licensed, it has to be a matter of public record. Try the Illinois Supreme Court and the Attorney Disciplinary Board or whatever agency is responsible for policing attorneys in the state.

Can one be a member after one has admitted to illegal drug use?
It is an open secret that graduates of Suffolk ("close cover before striking") Law pass the Massachusetts Bar Examine on the first attempt at a higher rate than graduates of Haavaad Lah. Many of the Harvard Law students need to take cram courses at night over a deli to pass the bar exam. Not clear what they're teaching on the northern banks of the Charles, but it's not Blackstone.
