How Much Longer Can They Sell Darwinism?
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 1/4/09 | Purple Mountains

All across the country, archeologists, paleontologists and biologists are taking part in what is perhaps the greatest example of political correctness in history – their adherence to Darwinism and their attempts to ostracize any scientist who does not agree with them. In doing so, they are not only ignoring the vast buildup of recent scientific discoveries that seriously undermines the basics of Darwinism, but they are also participating, due to politically correctness, in a belief system that indirectly resulted in the deaths of millions of people – those slaughtered by the Stalins, the Hitlers, the Maos, the Pol Pots and others who took their cue from Darwinism’s tenets.

Well, let’s just settle this like we used to.

Let’s go up to a mountaintop, probably Mount Carmel is inconvenient to the participants, so let’s just choose Mt. Lassen in California.

The evolutionists can build an altar on top and put a marsupial on a bed of wood. The creationists can have a better barbecue by bringing an oxen.

Then demand a miracle. It happened once before, and if you had live television there today, that would be awesome if the oxen got the barbecue strike from heaven.

It might even settle these threads.

Again though- you shoudl be out ‘celebrating’, not in here worrying about your position if you feel it’s so secure? No?

No. You seem to be worrying about this thread more than anyone. Secure?

[[It is called a “phylogenetic tree” and it shows the evidence (one data point out of many thousands) of common descent from DNA comparison of a segment of DNA common to all the species.]]

Actually no it doesn’t show the evidence- what it does show however is how much sceintsits are willign to stretch believability in order to make hte evidence fit in with hteir models. There are huge leaps of faith with absolutely zero evidence involved in linking those dissimilar kinds- however, there’s good news- Baraminology more closely follows the actual evidence, and doesn’t have to rely on unsupported assumptions- and guess what? The fossil records show discontinuity. however, the phylogentic tree leaps beyond these discontinuities, and asserts things that just simply don’t show up in the fossil records- contrary to popular belief, the tree (or bush, or Or shrub, or whatever you folsk are calling it these days) isn’t nearly as smoothly laid out as they pretend it is.

your DNA tree very well also might show common design instead of common decent too eh? Nah- couldn’t be- has to be naturalistic descent- otherwise it just isn’t scientific eh?

" This particular tree shows that humans and chimps are closer to each other than either is to a gorilla. If you are counting the differences would be...

Human-chimp= 42+28 = 70 DNA differences
Human-gorilla=42+16+42= 100 DNA differences
chimp-gorilla=28+16+42= 86 DNA differences

This is the pattern we see repeated over and over again. Every tree we make based upon data shows that humans and chimps are closer than either is to a gorilla."

That is impressive DNA work I will agree, but how does it prove that humans evolved from apes? Is it not entirely possible that each exist on their own and simply share these similarities and always have and always will?

[[The pattern is consistent with common descent in that highly functional sequences show high conservation between species and sequences of little or no use change at a predictable rate. As such the data is unmistakable for common descent.]]

Lol- then explain the billions of differences in what’s left over EVEN if we were to be generous and state that we’re 95% similar (Some scientists are now admittign it’s not nearly this high, and that previous claims were made with full knowledge that we weren’t as ‘similar’ as they said)

The billions of differences is osmethign that no evolutionist likes to touch, because hte plain fact is that it is htese differences that seperate us, and htey can certainly not be explained in the ‘few million years’ that evos claim the two species diverged. As well, it’s still biologically impossible for htese differences to have occured- and no amount of time would cure that I’m afriad.

If I'm expected to make a well considered determination about that, it would help greatly to know exactly who these "particular individuals" are.

The people mentioned in the Colson commentary. Specifically, Weinberg, Koto, Porco, Dawkins and those agreeing with them.

[[It might even settle these threads.]]

It sure would, and IF God were still revealing Himself in such a manner today, then we wouldn’t need faith, now would we? We’d rely on our own understandings, and not on Him, and wouldn’t make that ultimate leap of faith now would we? A leap I assure you will not go unrewarded incase you’re interested?

We live in the age of hte Church DG- not in the age of miracles- God said right from the beginnign htis would coem as His peopel Rejected His special revelations, and He said it would take far greater faith today to beleive Him, but He also PROMISED that anyone that does take that leap of faith woudl be richly rewarded for doign so

The Day of Miracles will coem again- don’t you worry though- and yes, it will settle matters- HOWEVER, the willfully blind will STILL REFUSE to bleeive and accept- just as they did when Christ and hte prophets and desciples performed hteir miracles.

None- Now Go away kid- Go play your silly little games over on DC where ya came from- they like obscuring the trtuh over there- you’ll certainly fit right in. I asked you to either address the FACTS that were presented, or efrain from acting childish- seems you chose ignore both.

[[How much radical Islamic propaganda have you posted?]]

[[Amino acids, the building blocks of the proteins that make up the living cell, cannot of themselves build such organelles in the cell as mitochondria, ribosomes, cell membranes, or the endoplasmic reticulum, let alone a whole cell. For this reason, the claim that evolution brought about the first cell by chance remains the product of
a fantasy based entirely on imagination. The living cell, which still harbours many secrets that have not been explained, is one of the major
difficulties facing the theory of evolution.”]]

When you see somethign radically Islamic in those FACTS, you just let me know- Til lthen, either addreess those FACTS, or go elsewhere- I’m not interested in assinine ‘guilt by association’ attempts/games that try to avoid hte tough questions put to you- either man up, and step to the plate- or go sit back down with the rest of the waterboys

How would you know you've posted none? You apparently weren't aware that every word Harun Yahya writes is designed to win converts to Islam.

I know how you DEMAND accuracy, so I'm surprised that you don't know that I didn't come from DC -- I've been a member here since 1997.

You're posting opinion, not facts.

I mention this only because you DEMAND accuracy.

This isn’t opinion, this is observed fact- they are incapable of doing so

[[You apparently weren’t aware that every word Harun Yahya writes is designed to win converts to Islam]]

Again, are you goign to respond to hte issue we’re discussing? Or continue playing games? If you have something- anything, that refutes what was said, then by all means present it

[[I know how you DEMAND accuracy, so I’m surprised that you don’t know that I didn’t come from DC]]

You don’t post on Darwin Central? Hmmm interesting- because it’s quite apparent you’ve been indoctrinated to double speak, twist, and play their silly little games just like htey do- either that or it’s some genetic defect that makes ya’ll act that way?

Thank you oh so very much for all of your outstanding essay-posts and for sharing your insights!

To say that mathematics is "invented" by human beings is, to my mind, foolishness on the verge of hubris. For this is to make mathematics constructible on the basis of "subjectivity." How could such a thing attain the status of universality? FWIW.

Precisely so - and every time a mathematician puts a variable in a formula he testifies to the universality of the mathematical structure.

But that rarely, if ever happens around here. Mostly we engage in "spitting matches" — all heat and no light. Nobody learns a thing. Sigh....

The usual debaters are not likely to change their views. But for the sake of the Lurkers the debate is a good thing because they may see something new and/or arrive at a better understanding.

Could be the whole system is NOT lineal.. but circular.. or some direction not noticeable in this realm..

Truly, our concept of time passing is linear (timeline.) As I recall, Aristotle used counting to explain the passing of time. And yet space and time may be manifestations or illusions of true "reality." (e.g. Tegmark's Level IV universe)

— “Who says hte world was around millions of years ago?” —

I have read this in the handiwork of God. As I said upthread, with a wry smile, God makes trees.

Most trees are as individual as fingerprints, and even have a kind of fingerprint of their own. Each has a unique and informative pattern of growth rings.

Researchers trying to pin down the age of things began using this information provided by God many years ago, and have compiled not only an impressive record, but also an actual science called Dendrochronology.

http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Dendrochronology

Here is a link describing it, and showing how it relates to history, the study of antiques and historical buildings, ships, and artifacts, and actually leads to and buttresses such parallel studies as carbon-dating and the study of varves, which are the annual marks in sea and riverbeds.

The interesting thing about Dendrochronology is that you or anyone could do the same kind of research, slowly building your database and comparing it to the ones already established. You could independently confirm or show the falsity of their research.

Now, this kind of gospel reads a little differently from the King James version, but then Jesus spoke his wisdom in a slightly different way also.
