As the days go by we see that the political ignorance, sense of self entitlement, willingness to put himself ahead of the Country, and overall lack of diplomatic etiquette of our new President seems to know no bounds. His forced down the peoples throat handling of the Stimulus (also referred to by many as Porkulus) bill has been widely discussed, and yesterday I touched on the looming cuts to our nuclear deterrent arsenal. This post will discuss the insult of one of our greatest allies in the world, Great Britain.
After the September 11th attacks our British allies loaned President George Bush a bust of one of the greatest Britons the world has ever known, Sir Winston Churchill. It was a gesture to show their support for the United States in one of its darkest hours. The bust sat prominently in the Oval Office for the balance of President Bushs tenure there, and once President Obama took office, the British offered him the opportunity to keep it for the length of his term. His response was cold and most likely sent tremors through the British diplomatic community. . .

Winston’s eyes must have been burning a hole in Obozo’s twisted heart.
Obama is such a moron.
I suspect that Obama will attempt to placate the Brits by asking (as a replacement) for a bust of Neville Chamberlain.
Beat me to it
OK - totally off topic - but why has the verb loan/loaned replaced the perfectly good English lend/lent? A loan was always a noun to me...
The bust of Churchill only served to remind Hussein of his own incompetence.
I suspect Obama prefers Wilt Chamberlain
SCUMBAG!!!!!!!!!!!
he really is. it will be interesting to see if the media can cover for him for 4 years. Simply not reporting negative issues works pretty well, all things considered.

Greatness can sit in the presence of greatness, and feel comfortable amongst equals.
Goodness can sit in the presence of greatness, admire it, and aspire to better itself.
Mediocrity and incompetence must flee or banish greatness, out of fear that its inadequacies may be exposed.
Ask Harrison Bergeron ...
can’t have those bad examples around our new savior.
Obama heard the Churchill quote
“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery”
and got very scared.
That would be the economy.
I too was taught in school that “loan” was a noun and not a verb.
The Brits didn’t miss the sneer. Neither did our enemies.
Barack Obama sends bust of Winston Churchill on its way back to Britain

A bust of the former prime minister once voted the greatest Briton in history, which was loaned to George W Bush from the Government's art collection after the September 11 attacks, has now been formally handed back. The bronze by Sir Jacob Epstein, worth hundreds of thousands of pounds if it were ever sold on the open market, enjoyed pride of place in the Oval Office during President Bush's tenure. But when British officials offered to let Mr Obama to hang onto the bust... |
Was the bust a loan or a gift?
“...it was during Prime Minister Churchills tenure that the British suppressed a rebellion in Kenya by the Mau Mau tribe. Allegedly the Presidents grandfather Hussein Onyango Obama was tortured by the British at that time.”
Hmmmm...hate to defend hussein, but I might not want to look at that bust everyday.
