An article in National Review Online points out that all scans to Adobe PDF are “layered” as part of the software - pointing out that such layering is therefore not relevant, and does not necessarily indicate it is a fake..
I don’t know enough about PDF to comment one way or the other. I suspect we’ll all become experts within a week or two.

Here is some info on how/why .pdf scanned docs will have layers. There are two reasons, OCR- Optical Character Recognition and MRC- Mixed Raster Content. The former explains the text layers, the latter explains the image itself broken into layers as well as what some call the “white out” look. There are even image samples in the second link that are almost exact mirror images of that “white out” effect.

I suggest studying these before continuing this line of ‘proof’ regarding the layers. There is nothing unusual about what you are seeing.
How can it be file #151 in 1961 in Hawaii. Only the 151st birth in the state of Hawaii as of 1961? Seems very odd. I have my uncle’s birth certificate from 1917 Missouri and it is #32,779 which makes sense. 32,779 birth certificates in Kansas as of July 22, 1917. But Obama is only the 151st birth in the state of Hawaii in 1961. Very doubtful that he was only the 151st person to be born in Hawaii....

I just checked the official web site for Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital and according to the information there, the name of the hospital at the time of his birth should have been Kauikeolani Children's Hospital. According to the web site the name didn't change to Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until Kauikeolani Children's Hospital merged with Kapi‘olani Maternity Home in 1978. So how could his official long form birth certificate that was generated in 1961 have the name of the hospital that wasn't created until 1978?The certificate is a forgery.
Why it CAN’T be a fake. Everyone KNOWS it’s NORMAL to spend millions to prevent anyone from seeing your birth certificate just before you release it to public view!!!

I was going to refrain from ths discussion, but too many folks are missing the more salient points. First, to be a “natural born” citizen of the United States (and, therefore, eligible to be POTUS), BOTH parents must be American citizens. The BC, whether real or another fake (like he previous COLB) confirms that his father was “African”. The fact is that his father was Kenyan and was in Hawaii attending school as a student. The result is that Obama can NEVER be a natural born citizen of the US because both of his parents were not American citizens. The Consttution is pretty clear about this.
But, we delve further into this mystery. At around the age of 10 or 12 (I don’t know Obama’s history verbatim . . . . . and don’t care!) he was adopted by an Indonesian, Barry Soetero, thereby further obscuring his lineage and making it more certain that he does not meet the Constitutionally required criteria of being a “natural born citizen”. Obama’s citizenship cannot transfer solely from the mother, in order to meet the Constitutional criteria, it can only transfer from both parents and, if his father was “African (Kenyan)”, there is no way that he meets the eligibility requirements established by the Constitution to be POTUS.
See? It’s much more simple than just the BC, but deconstructing this latest version should be entertaining.
It would be much more illustrative to know what country’s passport he traveled on as a young man, particularly when he was in college. But, I don’t see that information being released.
(BTW, I’m not a Constitutional attorney, nor an attorney at all and I don’t play one on TV. I just read a lot.)
