“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe”

During his 2008 campaign for President Barack Obama did not lie about everything. When it came to the price of gasoline he was very up front about his intentions to cripple and bankrupt America by raising the price of energy.

Obama’s “zealot” mistake

To accomplish this destruction Obama had to select an equally foaming at the mouth anti capitalism zealot to help him. He selected Steven Chu and made him our Energy Secretary. That is proving to be a mistake for Obama and a blessing for us.

To Obama’s chagrin he is learning that for purposes of engineering a sneak attack it is better to use a run of the mill phony Democrat who knows enough to hide his intentions, than a true believe anti-capitalist.

Even before the 2008 election, when Europeans were paying more than twice our pump prices, Chu said, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Last March Chu reaffirmed his “rollover and play dead” attitude toward higher gasoline prices when he said, “..the price of gasoline over the long haul should be expected to go up just because of supply and demand issues.”

“..Because liberals have stopped us time and again from retrieving our energy within our own borders the global energy market has finally taken over our lives. Neither the fraud in the White House nor the fraud Secretary of Energy can do anything now. Chu has probably had a sock stuffed in his mouth, but it’s too late for both of them.

We will suffer because the idiots among us voted for a man who told us he was going to cripple us, but they didn’t care. They hoped for change and we all got it……

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:

"Somehow we have to figure
out how to boost the price of
gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal]
levels in Europe." - Barack Obama's
Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of bumper sticker stock...

I don’t see it possible that our gas prices would be the same as Europe. When our gas prices go up, Europe’s does too. Right now for a gallon of gas in Italy where I just left is 8.06 a gallon (yes they use liters but I can convert). It will never happen that we will have the exact same price as Europe. America will always be cheaper. Sorry to disappoint those hoping a different outcome.

A iranian “crisis” is perfect to raise the prices for his Saudi alliances.

Europe is Europe, and America is America.

I'm sure if Europe had as much oil in the ground as the US that THEY would be drilling like a sum'bitch to get it out and use is, thereby dramatically lowering their gas prices.

But they don't.

We do, but we happen to have a lunatic for a president who probably thinks gas usage is some form of "racism", using the same prism through which he sees everything else in his life.

I was stationed in German from 1965 to 1968 and their gas was four times the price of ours back then, nothing new.

I don't think this is about Europe, but it is about obama and his power, he uses Europe as a his tool to push the "fairness" mantra...i.e. socialism. Europe is socialist, obama's goal is socialistic, and he is using that to accomplish his taking the US European socialis to accomplish his marxist agenda. We left Europe in large numbers over 200 years ago under great hardships, including war, to obtain our freedom and prosperity...if we had liked their system, we would have stayed there.

If gasoline magically materialized in underground tanks for free, they would still have high gas prices because most of the price of European gasoline is taxes.

They are just following the recommendation of Al Gore.
In his book he wanted gas to be $5/gal.

$4.39 yesterday, Mobil station (I think), in my wanderings about south orange county yesterday ... I hope you do better.

BTW... Last week?? It was a tad under $4 at the same station. There is NO reason for this. None.

I paid $3.39 at Costco last week. That was up $0.12 from the week before.

There is a reason for these high prices - it’s name is ‘Obama’. I think prices will go down after November when he loses (please merciful God, let Zero lose).
