The U.S. military has become expert at controlling urban populations in Iraq but why is the Department of Homeland Security building similar capabilities here?
Unfortunately, the federal governments war on freedom is a subject still dominated mostly by conspiracy theorists, end-of-the-worlders, and yes, crackpots who hold highly marginal and dismissible views. Fortunately, some of that is changing with the rise of smart preppers.
I think most people concerned about liberty would appreciate an honest, probative look at actual plans and initiatives that federal authorities are now developing in earnest. Not wild conclusions based on dark conspiracy theories that make most rational people roll their eyes. But a careful assessment of what Uncle Sam and his legions of high-tech crony capitalists are actually building and developing.
In this case, whats on the table for scrutiny is nothing less than the creation of a national population surveillance and control grid.

Some old wise men, a long time ago, wrote a guidebook for free people called The Constitution of the United States.
Conservatives strongly believe what they wrote because it has worked quite well for over 200 years.
The Moderates would like to change it a bit, and the Democrats, believers in communism, would like to destroy it.
It’s time to choose sides. Ask yourself what are you?
DO YOU KNOW WHAT A PATRIOT IS?
PATRIOTS are not “Revolutionaries” trying to overthrow the government of the United States.
PATRIOTS are “Counter-Revolutionaries” trying to prevent the government of the United States, from overthrowing the Constitution of the United States.

What the authors of Why Is It Necessary For The Federal Government To Turn The United States Into A Prison Camp? and U.S. Building a Domestic Population-Control Grid Based on Military Ops apparently have forgotten is that each and every state have their own Constitutions, that’s right they have their own state sovereignty. If the federal government ever thinks that it can simultaneously take over the individual sovereignty of the 50 great states that make up these United States then we will have to have simultaneously surrendered our state sovereignty to it.
I don’t think that is about to happen. Why not? Because there is men and women, Patriots, in every state who will demand their Governors rise up and protect their state sovereignty the same way that a mother grizzly bear protects her cubs.
I’m sorry that some of you would be willing to lay down and surrender your arms if a law demands that you do so. I’m not one who could ever do that, consequently I will do everything I can to make certain that such a law never gets passed. Not so much that I don’t want to become a criminal but because I have seen the horrors of combat and I don’t wish to ever repeat those days.
Freedom, individual liberty is something worth dying for. Not something that a man or woman should ever be willing to surrender. I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if the Nazi’s had had to face a gun barrel every time they started ordering the German Jews around. Would we have had a second World War. Would there have been a Holocaust?
OMG, I’m finding that out with every article I read about it. I had no idea what it was or that it even existed. Thanks for the info, u.
ABSOLUTELY INDEED.
Ah, delightful! Another person awakens.
I’ve not awakened, this has been my battle cry for quite a long time.
Slowly, but surely, folks are seeing the truth. Unfortunately, it is painfully slow.
Thanks for the ping. Very interesting.
Thanks, Tainan. The writer’s a Hillsdale College graduate, eh? Interesting. Yes, there was some hyperbole for getting attention but a lot of truth in the piece, just the same.
Here’s my opinion. I don’t see any one conspiracy that envelopes all, but there are many small conspiracies. Always have been. Some people like money more than others, and control over others can be used to get money.
Most good people like to have privacy. If their privacy is violated in certain ways (e.g., communications with friends, acquaintances, family), they’ll recede and turn their sympathies against the constituents and companies behind the ostensible invaders.
Besides, revenues are already declining, and folks can’t be paid from debt indefinitely. IMO, there will be privacy and other freedoms. And it’s going to be rough (poor, as in poverty). Consumerism is already taking a long, slow punch because of invasive, time-wasting activities of busybodies.
What do you think about all of this?
Thanks for the reply and insights from over there. That’s important.
Yes. There are no jobs. And yes, many who depend on government directly and indirectly (services, contractors, etc.) are scared, too, and some of them getting strange. I’ve seen one or two local government employees get hysterical at the mere mention of probable further economic decline.
Cattle rustling has been way up here, in the West (western USA). The rustlers are now generally well equipped, with expensive trucks and large, expensive horse trailers. Does that tell you anything? Same with bank robberies: criminals recently “upscale” and accustomed to getting what they want through social interactions rather than production.
Robbery is beginning to become an upper-middle class specialty. As more of the middle class is laid off, we’ll probably see much more of that. And I don’t subscribe to the left liberal theory that poverty forces people to steal. They do it in a climate of moral bankruptcy, IMO (see Great Depression, etc.).
It appears that political/regulator class folks are more concerned than ever with environmental/animal/population issues, but, IMO, they’re really more afraid of an economic crash...and of the rest of us. As for the race issue, have a look at this.

The race thing is being agitated from the top, IMO, as in the past. It’s an effort toward distraction. I really doubt that it’ll even go as far as it has before, but we’ll see.
I’ll stay up here on the mountains and away from the metropolitan excitement. Will continue getting ready for energy independence (solar heating with drainback systems, mostly—sun over 300 days per year here) and a very few livestock (yaks, due to extreme cold, altitude, wind, dryness, etc.). We do kung fu forms to stay in shape and prevent injuries from doing heavy, manual labor on our water, heating and electrical systems (much concrete and stonework).
Gasoline, BTW, is well over $4 per gallon in the nearest towns. Many services are going out of business. Local governments are beginning to go into the red (debt). There will soon be another flood of foreclosures—a larger one than those during the past few years. Also a flood of tax liens.
Ah...some news about the world closer to you. You probably already know that N. Korea may do another nuclear test very soon, if it hasn’t done so already.
